Sparkly Washi Window Card

We always make a card at our team meetings, and this is what I came up with for last month's meeting. It's a bit of a cross between the Glitter packing Tape technique and stained glass window technique. Simply layer rows of washi tape behind the die, and then sprinkle with glitter. The result is a pretty, sparkly hot air balloon!
I'll list the steps below, but these pictures should give you the idea:

Cardstock measurements: Smoky Slate A5, Basic Black 14.3 x 10cm, Soft Sky 13.8 x 9.5cm. You’ll also need 9.9x7cm Basic Black to cut the balloon die from and 9.9x7cm Whisper White to put behind the washi tape.
1. Cut balloon shape from Soft Sky cardstock. You only need the outer piece, not the die-cut itself (reserve tiny square piece above the balloon basket). Stamp the outer piece with clouds in Smoky Slate ink. Stamp sentiment in Basic Black ink. Use dauber to sponge clouds in Whisper White ink (you can use a cotton bud to sponge smaller clouds).
2. Cut balloon die from 9.9x7cm Basic Black cardstock. Fit the die into the Soft Sky piece. Adhere rows of washi tape to the back of the balloon until it is entirely covered. Place reserved Soft Sky square into place.
3. Sprinkle glitter over sticky side of washi tape and press it in with your fingers. Tap off excess.
4. Adhere 9.9x7cm Whisper White behind balloon so that Washi Tape colours are bright and intense. 5. Assemble card as pictured.
