Watercolour Wash with a Flourish

I've used 3 of our new In Colors on this card - Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum. I love how they work together, so I combined all 3 inks on one stamp. To get this effect, I used the Watercolour Wash background stamp. Turn your stamp so the rubber faces up, and ink Peekaboo Peach on the top third. Then, use some scrap paper to mask off the bottom third so you can ink the middle third in Flirty Flamingo. Then, remove the scrap paper to ink the bottom third in Sweet Sugarplum. Use a sponge to blend the areas where the colours meet. If you want an extra watercoloury look (yes, that is a word ;), spritz the stamp with water before stamping on Shimmery White cardstock. I like using the Shimmery cardstock for this because it takes water well and gives a subtle Shimmer to the whole card.
I added some gold shimmery spatters to my card using the Gold Wink of Stella Pen. To do this, just squeeze your pen until some ink starts to collect on the brush tip, and then tap the barrel with a bone folder to make the ink spatter.
I think the gorgeous die cut Flourish stands out perfectly on my background.

Elegant Detailed Floral

How divine are the Detailed Floral Thinlits? As soon as I saw the spread on pages 76-77, these were on my "Must Have" List.
I think the Sahara Sand/Very Vanilla combination is so elegant, and I knew it would work beautifully with these thinlits.
Not much extra embellishment was required, so I just added a strip of lace and a Classy Button. The lace is backed onto a strip of Sahara Sand cardstock so it doesn't get lost on the Vanilla cardstock.
I think this would make a beautiful Wedding or Anniversary card, or a card for a special birthday.

Seaside Shore

This was my first play with the Seaside Shore stamp set. It has lots of fishy themed elements and I have lots more plans for it! ...now if the rest of the world could go away so I could just stamp all day, that would be great!!
I love the paper that co-ordinates with this set too. It's called By the Shore, and the patterns and colours are so easy to work with...I have lots more plans for it too!
I've layered my card on Kraft cardstock. The colour works really well with the Burlap ribbon that I've used.

Sweet Sugarplum Thankyous

I whipped up a batch of thankyou cards and gifts for some of my lovely Online customers and class attendees last month. I used all the new In Colors (of course!) and this is the Sweet Sugarplum version. I've used the new Envelope Paper and new Ruched Ribbon too.
I've stamped off the flower to make the ink a lighter shade, so that the writing isn't too obscured.

This is the little treat bag I made. The design has been CaSEd from the clever Janet Wakeland. They were quick and easy to make using the new Glassine bags and a couple of punches. A little chocolate treat fits perfectly inside.
Here are the two together:

Weather Together Polka Dots

There's nothing like a red polka dot umbrella to chase the blues away! I've used the adorable Weather Together stamp set and framelits to make this card. The Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper was perfect for my stormy skies. Sometimes I find it hard to choose a colour for my base card...Crumb Cake is always my go-to "goes with anything" colour, for those times when I can't decide!
