A Blushing Poppy

It's the final day of Sale-a-Bration, can you believe it? That means it's your last chance to get your hands on some freebies!

For this card, I used what has been one of my favourite Sale-a-Bration items - the Golden Honey DSP. Sadly, it has now sold out (it seems it was a favourite among many people!). Don't worry though, there are still plenty of other great things to choose. Check them all out HERE.

There's hardly any stamping on this card - just the sentiment. I made the flower using the Poppy Moments Dies.  Thankfully the Mini Catalogue, and these beautiful dies are hanging around for a bit longer. The colours I've used are Blushing Bride, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Sea Foam (and of course Basic Black).

Happy last day of Sale-a-Bration!

More Flowering Foils

Hopefully you aren't sick of seeing this Flowering Foils Designer Series Paper....I promise I'll stop...soon! After all, it's only available for a few more days! That's right, Sale-a-Bration ENDS on March 31!

For this card, I brayered Soft Sea Foam ink over the Flowering Foils DSP. I really like the Silver, Copper and pale green colour combo. You can see everything else I used to make this card listed below.

Thanks for stopping by!

Striped Tags in Bloom

There's something about black and white stripes, with just a pop of colour that really sings. It's elegant, but modern too.

To make this card, I stamped the Tags in Bloom floral frame twice - once with the flowers at the top, and then stamped again (over the top), this time with the flowers at the bottom. Next I stamped the dotted frame, and stamped my sentiment inside and punched it out with the Label Me Lovely Punch. I coloured the flowers with my Blends. A simple wrap of twine, tied in a bow is the finishing touch.

CCMC605 Make a Splash

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

Aren't these colours so pretty together! I thought they looked a bit beachy, but in the absence of a beach stamp set, I decided to use the Make A Splash Host Stamp Set. It's such a cute set, that you can earn for free with a $250 group or individual order.

It was fun creating this little aquarium. In the background I used the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper. I also used the High Seas 3D Embossing Folder. I think we all need this advice, with everything that's going on at the moment - "just keep swimming". I'm doing my best, but I feel like I'm barely staying afloat at the moment.

I hope you like my card! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page

Ombre Flowering Foils

I'm using the Flowering Foils DSP again today. This time, I've coloured the paper with my inkpads and a sponge brayer. I used Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay. I think the result is so pretty that it really only needs a few finishing touches - a sentiment with a stitched border, some lovely ribbon and a silver flourish. I couldn't decide whether the sentiment should be Granny Apple Green or Bermuda Bay, so I did both!

Don't forget - this DSP is available for FREE as a Sale-a-Bration item....but only until the end of March!

CCMC604 Tags in Bloom

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

I've used this colour combination before, and I love how fresh and fun it is - Night of Navy, Lovely Lipstick and Granny Apple Green. I thought they would be perfect colours to use with the Tags in Bloom Second-Release Sale-a-Bration set. This set co-ordinates with the new Label Me Fancy Punch. I coloured the flowers with my Blends.

I kept the background fairly plain - some tone-on-tone Versamark stamped flowers and the Parisian Flourish embossing folder.

I made a Stitched Scalloped Square from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. You simply make a rectangle first, and then position the die along one edge (lining up the scallops) and re-cut it. A piece of the Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon is the perfect finishing touch.

This was a quick and easy card to make. I hope you like it! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

Welcome Little One

I love making baby cards. It's the perfect excuse to go all-out cuteness overload! The Witty-Cisms stamp set contains this sweet little pram image. It works equally well for baby boy or girl cards. I coloured it using Blends and then cut it out with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

The background paper is from the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper pack. I made a belly band from Blushing Bride cardstock (I added some texture with the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder). The Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon tied in a bow is the perfect finishing touch. Now I just need a baby girl to give it to!

March Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop! This month we have a Sketch Challenge. You can make the complete circuit and see all the lovely creations by following the links at the end of each post.

Here is my take on the sketch:

I felt like a bit of colouring therapy this week, so I pulled out my new pack of Flowering Foils DSP and my Blends, and got to work. It's so easy to colour these gorgeous flowers - with their metallic outline, staying in the lines is a breeze. The DSP is available for FREE as a Sale-a-Bration item....but only until the end of March!

To finish off my card, I simply mounted my coloured panel onto a piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I used another piece, embossed with the Coastal Weave embossing folder, on the lower part of the card. I covered the join with some Old Olive ribbon. It's from the Botanical Prints Medley.  A pretty sentiment with a stitched border is the finishing touch.

Well, that’s all from me. Thanks for stopping by! Click on the button below to move to the next stop:
