CCMC636 Whiskey Business

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

I wish you could see this Whiskey Business card in real life. I used Shimmery Crystal Effects on the decanter and the glasses so they are super glossy and very real-looking. It's very easy to do. First I stamped in Stazon, cut them out and coloured with my Blends. Then I applied a coating of the Crystal Effects, and left it to dry for a couple of hours. Before adhering them to my card, I did a wash of grey to 'ground' them and also gave my background piece the Subtle Embossing folder treatment, and took a 'bite' out of the corners with a small circle punch.

In the background I used a piece of Basic Grey Designer Series Paper (from the Neutrals 6"x 6" pack). I flagged the ends of my sentiment and brought in some Pumpkin Pie with a narrow strip of cardstock. A swirl of gold thread (from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack) is the perfect finishing touch.

I hope you like my card! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page

In the Pines Bundle

Have you seen the In the Pines Bundle yet? It’s gorgeous and features a nature-inspired stamp set with coordinating dies. It's perfect for Christmas but can be used all year round too.

The In the Pines Stamp Set features two-step stamping - just stamp the silhouette image in the lightest colour of ink, then stamp the detailed images in darker colours. This allows you to easily achieve a watercolour look that almost looks like you painted it yourself! And with multiple tree images, you can easily create your own woodland scenery by layering the stamped die-cut trees. (Pop a few of them up with Stampin’ Dimensionals for a 3D look.) This bundle gives you so many options!

Way to Goat Number 2

Here's the second card I made with the Way to Goat stamp set at Stamp Camp. I used the same colourway - Soft Sea Foam, Grey Granite and a touch of copper. I also used vellum again - this time to frame my sentiment....I love the softness it brings.

I used the Stitched Shapes dies to frame this cute guy and coloured him in with my Blends. He sure looks like he is enjoying eating that flower!

CCMC635 Celebrate Sunflowers

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

I'm a little bit in love with this beautiful sunflower from the Celebrate Sunflowers set. I used the card sample on page 13 of the Annual Catalogue as inspiration for this card. I stamped in Soft Suede ink on Crumb Cake cardstock. Next I coloured the petals with a Blender Pen and Whisper White ink. Once that was dry, I used the Blender Pen to apply Crushed Curry ink over some of the white areas, leaving the tips of the petals as highlights.

After that, just a few finishing touches - I punched the ends of my sentiment with the Banners Pick a Punch and embellished with some Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon.

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

Nothings Better Than....a Bundle!

If you follow my blog, you would have seen the Nothing’s Better Than Stamp Set and the Love You More Than Dies, but did you know they’re available at a 10% discount when purchased together? By using the special bundle item number (154061), you’ll receive both products in the Nothing’s Better Than Bundle. This fun bundle includes 26 photopolymer stamps with light-hearted greetings and tasty treats you can use to let your loved ones know they’re on your mind.

Inspired by a Stampin’ Up! Million Sales Achiever, Connie Stewart, this cute set can be used to create a variety of fun projects. Use the chocolate-shaped stamp images to embellish a box of chocolates, the cookie dies to accent a container of cookies, and of course, the greeting stamps to add personality to a card. There’s no limit to what you can create with this bundle!

Way to Goat!

I had lots of fun playing with the Way to Goat stamp set at Stamp Camp. I made 3 cards, using all 3 images in this colourway - Soft Sea Foam, Grey Granite and a touch of copper. I also used vellum on all my cards....I love the softness it brings.

I used the Stitched Shapes dies to frame this cute guy and coloured him in with my Blends. I'm not sure what dance he is performing, but he sure looks like he is enjoying himself!
