Tree Card Display
It's been a little quiet on the blog front lately, but there's plenty going on over on my facebook page at the moment.
I'm feeling very spoilt, and very blessed....some of my gorgeous team members have been at it again and I've been getting a little Curvy Keepsake treat every day. I'll be sharing each one daily on my facebook page... be sure to "like" the page to stay updated!
And just so the blog doesn't feel too neglected, here's the Christmas Card Tree I've got displayed at the moment:
I found the Wire Tree frame from Bunnings in the outdoor section when I was buying mulch for the garden, and couldn't resist it. It's actually designed to hang outside and isn't intended for cards at all. For $20, I thought it was worth buying to see if I could make it work for cards. At the register, it scanned at $10, so that was a nice surprise....and even better, it works perfectly for cards (I built a little stand for it so it can sit on a tabletop).

Festival of Trees Tag Card
I love the versatility of the Festival of Trees stamp set. On this card I've used the dotted 'ornament' stamp to make a spotty background.
I made a happy discovery when I was punching my tag shapes...the Note Tag Punch fits nicely inside the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch!
And here's a quick TIP if your greeting is too long for the Word Window Punch: Punch twice to make a longer window, and then pop your sentiment behind.
The colours I've used here are Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon and Pear Pizzazz.

Bokeh Baby Card
I've seen lots of gorgeous samples around, using the 'bokeh' technique, and I was dying to try it for myself. It's lots of fun, and comes out differently each time.
I made this card for a dear friend who recently had a beautiful baby girl, and then I demonstrated the technique at a recent Team Meeting.

Traditional Pine
Here's the same card I showed you last time, this time in traditional colours...I know which one is my favourite. Which one do you prefer?
The colours I've used here are Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green and Early Espresso on Naturals Ivory cardstock.

Ornamental Pine Blues
I love the Ornamental Pine stamp set. I've made a few card designs in traditional colours, and I wanted to try it in some non-traditional colours. For this stamp-a-stack, I've used Pool Party and Island Indigo, and I have to say, I really like the effect.
I've used the Window Frames framelits, but just used the centre part of the shape. To do the stamping, I placed the white Window Frame shape over the top of my main white piece and stamped the pine needle image. Then the Pool Party Window Frame piece covers the 'gap'.

Trim the Tree Stamp-a-Stack
This week I am holding my very last Stamp-a-Stack Classes for the year.
It's always sad when they wind up for the year, but I find the last few weeks of the school term and the lead up to Christmas is so busy
that I just can't fit it all in.
I feel very lucky to have a job that's so flexible!
This is a simple set of cards using the Tree Punch and Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack. Instead of using the punched-out tree shapes, I've used the negative and let the patterned paper show through.

A Swag of Stars
You'll have to excuse the bad photo for this one. I always find home décor items tricky to photograph - my little point-and-press doesn't cope very well with shadows and reflections. Anyway, hopefully you can see beyond my terrible photography to the actual project.
This is the Home Décor item that we made at a recent Team Craft Day. My house was transformed into Big-Shotting, Embossing, Hot-Glue Gunning Crafting Chaos....we had so much fun!
This little star Swag is made using 1 sheet of Cherry Cobbler cardstock, 1/2 a sheet of Naturals Ivory and 1/2 a sheet of Crumb Cake. A little cardstock can go a long way!

Tiny Tic Tac Treats
Here are some little treat holders that I made for a recent Team Craft Day. I used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch:
I think the cutest thing about these boxes, is what's inside:
Mini tic tacs! I found these at the Reject Shop, and 3 of them fit perfectly inside this little box.
Almost too cute to eat....almost!
Edited to Add Instructions: I've been getting lots of requests for instructions, so I thought I'd include them in case you want to make some of your own.
Cut your cardstock 4.9 x 15.5cm. Score at 6cm from each end. Punch each end using the Tag Topper Punch and fold on the score lines. Wrap a 16.5 x 3cm piece of DSP around to form box sides, creasing the corners as you go (it's easiest to do this with the tic tacs placed inside!). I used a mini peg to hold mine closed at the top.
