A Cup and Kettle

I don't think there has ever been a set of dies that is more 'me' than the Cup and Kettle framelits. I love my tea (Twinings please!) and I love these dies. Even if you are not a tea drink (shock, horror), they work well for coffee or a get-well cuppa soup. Plus there's even a set of cutlery!
The colours I've used are Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride, and the Birthday Bouquet DSP. I've also added some glimmer with the Blushing Bride glimmer paper and Wink of Stella.

Champagne Balloon Celebration

I've been loving the Balloon Celebration stamp set lately. It has so many fun elements, and I love the sentiments in the set too.
This card was actually really quick to make. I stamped the balloon strings first. It's a single stamp, so there's no tricky positioning involved. Stamping the balloons is easy too as this is a photopolymer stamp set. I've stamped mine in Pool Party and Soft Sky (some full strength and some stamped off).
I couldn't decide what occasion this card was going to be for, so I went with drinking Champagne...as far as I'm concerned that's every occasion!

Timeless Texture Faux Silk

This is the second card we are making in my Technique Class this week. It's a slightly different take on the Faux Silk technique, making a background piece using the Timeless Texture stamp set.
If you love the vintage look but struggle to create it, then you need the Timeless Textures stamp set. It's one of those 'can't go wrong' stamp sets. It somehow manages to make you look like an artist, no matter what you do with it!

What I Love in Faux Silk

It's Technique Class week this week! We're having fun with tissue paper this week, and the Faux Silk Technique. The inspiration for this card came from the lovely Julie. Julie is a UK Demo that I have had the pleasure of meeting (and even singing karaoke with!) on the Stampin' Up! Incentive Trips. Make sure you check out her blog and all her beautiful creations.
I've used the gorgeous What I Love Sale-a-Bration set on this card, and the colour combo of Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Old Olive. I couldn't decide which ribbon worked best on this card....so I used them both!
