Sunny Days

If this card looks familiar, then you've possibly looked at the Sale-a-Bration brochure as much as I have! This is the Sunny Days Designer Series Paper - available for FREE for one more month only. I really liked one of the cards on page 5, so this is my take on it. 

I didn't have all the ingredients required, so I made a few substitutes. I used the Cloud Punch instead of dies, and made my sun using punches too. To make the lighter shade of yellow I sponged Basic White cardstock with Crushed Curry ink.

The sentiment is from the Everyday Details stamp set. I think it works very well here!

These are a bit of a departure from my usual style (a bit more vintage-y!), but they were lots of fun to make.

Happy Australia Day!

I hadn't intentionally made this card for Australia Day, but it's kinda worked out that way, with the green and gold colour scheme! Mossy Meadow and Wild Wheat in fact.

These are 2 more patterns in the Poetic Expressions Designer Series Paper from the Mini Catalogue. I actually brayered the Wild Wheat pattern with Wild Wheat ink, to give it a bit more depth. Again, I've paired it with the Softly Sophisticated Bundle from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure, and also the Thoughtful Expressions dies.

Softly Sophisticated

The Poetic Expressions Designer Series Paper in the Mini Catalogue is just so beautiful. I don't think there's one side of this paper that I don't like. I'm already on to my second pack...I even used it to cover some ugly tissue boxes in my house! (honestly, is it so hard to make pretty tissue boxes?!)

The stamped images and sentiment on this card are from the Softly Sophisticated Bundle from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. I think what really makes this card are the Thoughtful Expressions dies. Because of the pretty stitching and the gorgeous detail in the shapes, there was no need for any extra layering. I just added some Gold Faux Leather Trim and some Iridescent Foil Gems to finish off (I'm already on my second pack of these too!)

Poetic Expressions

One of my favourite Suites in the new Mini Catalogue is the Poetic Expressions Suite on page 61 of the Mini Catalogue. Here, I've paired it with the Softly Sophisticated Bundle from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure. 

The Thoughtful Expressions dies were one of the first things on my wishlist. I just love the pretty stitched shapes, and that they nest so well together. You'll definitely be seeing these on a LOT more projects!

I took inspiration from the card on page 60 for this creation. Moody Mauve is such a great colour for a vintage look. You can see everything else I used listed below.
