Cutest Gnome

And here is my third Gnome card. I think this one is my favourite! I've just used the Gnomes dies this time. I just cut out various elements, and then did some sponging to bring it to life. I used the Storybook Gnomes DSP for his hat and pants, and cardstock for the rest - in Pear Pizzazz, Sweet Sorbet, Petal Pink and Basic White. 

I used a Sponge Brayer to create the ombre background in Balmy Blue ink. The shiny dots on the mushrooms have been done with white Pearlized Enamel Effects.

This was a another really fun card to make. I think I'll be making some gnome Christmas tags using these dies!

Storybook Gnome

Today I have another Gnome card to share with you. This one has been created almost entirely using just the Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper. I snipped out a gnome and a mushroom house for him to live in. Doesn't he look just like he's stepped out of a story book? I've popped them on some co-ordinating patterned DSP from the same pack.

The only stamping is the sentiment. I stamped on Soft Suede cardstock and embossed with White powder. Then I used the Timber 3D embossing folder to give it a wooden texture, before cutting it out and making it into a little sign. Cute!!

This was a really fun card to make. I think I'll be making a few more of these! Thanks for visiting.

You Gnome Me So Well

And it's time for another Stamp Camp ShoeBox card. This one was made by me, but designed for us by Tamara Blanch. 

Tamara showed us a great watercolour wash technique, where you apply ink to a large clear block (we used ink spots), lightly spritz with water, and then smoosh your Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper onto the block. You can also spritz the watercolor paper beforehand to help the ink spread around. I'll definitely be doing this again, in lots of different colours!

I'm loving these cute little Kindest Gnomes, and I couldn't resist popping 2 of them on my card. I coloured them in the same bright colours as my watercolour panel - Real Red, Daffodil Delight and Night of Navy.

The sentiment has been embossed with white powder, so that it really pops on the black cardstock strip.
