Sassy Squirrel

I always say that one of my favourite things about a new Catalogue is all the new card samples I can copy! This card is CaSEd from page 75 of the new January-June Mini Catalogue (which goes live on January 4). I didn't copy it exactly...it's always fun to make a few changes so that the card feels like an original ;)

I think this little guy is so cute, and I was so happy to see that the Nuts About Squirrels are hanging around as a Carryover Item. The Timber 3D Embossing Folder is also hanging around. Yay!

I've used Crumb Cake as my base card colour. I coloured the Squirrel in with Cinnamon Cider Blends, and the leaves are Soft Succulent and Soft Sea Foam. I decided it needed a pop of colour, so I embossed the sentiment on Calypso Coral, and also gave my Sassy Squirrel some Calypso Coral rosy cheeks!

Shaded Summer Birthdays

I like to get organised for the New Year by making a batch of Birthday cards. Here's a quick and easy Monochromatic Design that you might like to copy. 

Simply grab your favourite Designer Series Paper that has a design in just one colour (I used paper from Hand Penned and Pansy Petals). Choose some matching ribbon and rhinestones (TIP: you can colour your plain rhinestones using a Stampin' Blend). Now stamp a medium-sized flower stamp on a die-cut scalloped rectangle in co-ordinating ink (mine is from Shaded Summer). Stamp a sentiment in black and you're done!

Ever Eden

Here is another card I made with the beautiful Eden's Garden Collection. For this one I've used the stamp set for the sentiment, but the Ever Eden DSP is taking pride of place. I think the touches of gold bring elegance to this design. I've echoed the gold in the paper with some Gold Foil Eden die-cuts, and finished the card off with some Garden Gems.

Make sure you grab these papers before they disappear on January 3!

Merry Christmas!

With only one sleep to go, I'd like to take this opportunity to wish you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas! I hope your New Year is filled with lots of fun crafty times.

I managed to send out 180 of these cards this year, and I would love to have been able to send out even more. I had the help of a very dear friend (thanks Manda!), so it didn't take me nearly as long as it would have if I'd been stamping alone. I used one of my favourite Holiday products on my card - the Christmas Season stamp set - in some of my favourite colours - Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Soft Sea Foam and Cherry Cobbler.

Love, Santa

I've been having lots of fun with the Love, Santa Tag Kit. This kit is so much more than just tags. I've put them on cards, gift bags and here I've attached them to the front of some little boxes (Sneak Peek Alert: these boxes will be available in our upcoming January-June Mini Catalogue!).

These were so quick to whip up for my work Christmas Party. Inside I popped a couple of Christmas chockies (2 Cadbury Freddo-sized, or in this case Cadbury Elf and Santa Chocolates fit perfectly!).

Whimsy and Wonder

I really enjoy making Christmas cards with a different colour palette for a change. There's nothing like a pack of patterned paper to help you step out of your usual habits! The only stamping on this card is the sentiment (from the Frosted Gingerbread stamp set). The rest is all from the Wonder & Whimsy paper pack - it's all in shades of soft pinks, greens and blues, with a touch of metallic silver. So pretty!
