Sunshine & Rainbows

Do you remember the rainbow card I shared last time? Well after I'd made it, I had some White rainbow pieces and some leftover clouds on my desk, and that's how this card was born. I was also helped by some CaSEing of the Sale-a-Bration brochure. 

Aren't these colours just divine together? It's Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party, So Saffron and Mango Melody. Love!

Birthday Rainbow

Every year I have a favourite Sale-a-Bration product, and this year is no exception. I just love using this Sunshine and Rainbows Designer Series Paper. It's so bright and cheerful, and just makes me smile every time I use it.

It partners so well with the Rainbow of Happiness Bundle too. For this card, I've used the DSP in the background and used the dies to cut a rainbow window. It was a happy find to realise that one of the rainbow patterns in the DSP perfectly fits behind the cut-out window! I've also used the dies to cut out some sweet little clouds, and added some bling with the Iridescent Rhinestones.

Papaya Hello

I wanted to keep this card soft and sweet, just like this little bird, so I've gone with pretty pastel tones - Pale Papaya, Pool Party and So Saffron. This is the Friendly Hello Sale-a-Bration bundle - I've used both the Designer Series Paper and the stamps on this card.

 
For a bit of visual interest, I popped a doily behind the little bird. This is a Heart & Home Doily, but I've used the reverse side as I just wanted it white, not coloured. I embossed the sentiment in White, so it really pops. I've been using these words a lot for birthday cards...it says it all, really! Something else I've been using a LOT of are the Iridescent Rhinestones. I love how they just seem to take on the colours of whatever you stick them on.

Birthday Otters

I'm going to miss these Awesome Otters when Sale-a-Bration ends. Thankfully here in the South Pacific market, we have an extra couple of weeks to enjoy them, since Sale-a-Braion has been extended until March 16!

 
This was a fun card to make! I like creating a scene with stamps. To make the 'waves' I used the 'hill' stamp from the Penguin Place stamp set (currently on the Carryover list, so will be returning in a future Catalogue). I think my floating otter is bringing a fishy present to the Birthday Boy, who is happily splashing in the waves. I used Blends to colour these guys, in some of the new Natural Tones.... not just for human skin!

Marbleous Ice Cream Cone

How do you like my Simply Marbleous ice cream cone? The swirls in this FREE Sale-a-Bration paper reminded me of icecream, and so this card was born! What flavours do we have here? Bubblegum, Banana and Strawberry perhaps? 

I used Cinnamon Cider for my cone, and added some stamped detail with the 'waffle' pattern and sprinkles. Even the Painted Texture background has a bit of an ice-creamy look, I think. I've added a little scalloped-edge detail using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies under the sentiment.

Catching Butterflies

I've been enjoying playing with all the new Sale-a-Bration stamp sets (now that we can finally get our hands on them all!). This is not the style of set that I would normally gravitate towards (I don't have many young girls in my life at the moment), but when it's FREE, it's a fun chance to try something a bit different. 

I also have some good news to share on the Sale-a-Bration front. Since so many products were unavailable for the first few weeks, Sale-a-Bration has been extended in our market until March 16! That gives us all an extra 2 weeks to take advantage of the freebies. Yay! 

I have shamelessly CaSEd the Sale-a-Bration brochure for this one, and just changed a few things to make it my own.

February Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop! It's been a little while since I've been able to take part, but I'm so glad to be able to join in again. This month we have a Sketch Challenge. You can make the complete circuit and see all the lovely creations by following the links at the end of each post.

This is such a versatile sketch that could work with just about any stamp set....and since we have so many fabulous new sets, the hardest part of this card was choosing one! I decided on Cactus Cuties, because it hadn't seen any ink yet:

When I was writing my wishlist for the JJ Mini Catalogue, I was drawn to this stamp set because it is quite different from anything else I own, and the clincher was that it comes with a matching punch. The other clincher was that it is only $54.75 for the bundle, which is a bargain! 

I decided on Evening Evergreen, Pale Papaya and a 'pop' of Poppy Parade for my colour scheme. I've used the 'plain' sides of the Artfully Composed DSP in the background, for some subtle pattern. 

A few Polished Dots, some twine and some punched cactus flowers are the finishing touches.

Sweet Little Rainbow Boxes

I made 30 of these for my Stamp Camp ladies. The Sweet Little Boxes are the perfect size to fit a sweet little treat! I decorated these with colourful rainbows, and filled them with rainbow-coloured skittles.

You can see everything I used to make these listed below. I think the Brillant Rainbow Dies and co-ordinating Rainbow of Happiness stamp set are going to get a work out!
