Festival of Trees

Festival of Trees would have to be one of the most popular stamp sets from the Holiday Catalogue. It's great value and very easy to use, as it's a photopolymer set. You get 13 stamps for only $27.95. Even better value is the bundle - you get the stamps and matching Christmas Tree punch for $48.95
I used it in our Christmas Stamp-a-Stack Class this month. I stepped outside the usual red/green colour combo and went for something a little different - Bermuda Bay, Hello Honey and Smoky Slate.
I've used some other lovely new products on these cards too - the Confetti Stars Punch, and two new embossing folders too.
The sentiments on these cards are from the very versatile Good Greetings set (get it free with a $300 group or individual order)

Cheerful Christmas for every day

When is a Christmas stamp set not a Christmas stamp set? When it's Cheerful Christmas, and you make it into some cute little 9 x 9cm notecards. I've stuck to a mono-chromatic colour scheme for each card - Strawberry Slush with Blushing Bride, Lost Lagoon with Soft Sky and Blackberry Bliss with Perfect Plum.
These were really fast to whip up as some little customer thank you cards...because you really can never have too much happy!

Bright and Beautiful Stamp-a-Stack

This is the other set of cards we made in last month's Christmas Stamp-a-Stack Class.
I've "borrowed" my colour combination from the All is Calm Designer Series Paper - Lost Lagoon, Pear Pizzazz, Smoky Slate and Soft Sky. I love these colours together (I bet that's no surprise...did you notice my new blog header?)
I made a very happy discovery when I was designing these cards - the Labels Collection framelit fits perfectly inside the Top Note Die. It frames all those Bright and Beautiful stars...well....beautifully!

Christmas in August

How did it get to be mid-September already? I somehow neglected to show you the cards we made in my Christmas Card Stamp-a-Stack last month. We used the gorgeous Ornamental Pine stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue. I've layered Crumb Cake cardstock on Crumb Cake cardstock, with Whisper White Craft ink sponged on the edges of both layers. The top left card has also had the inkpad swiped across it for some added texture.
The pine branches have been stamped in Mossy Meadow ink, and the pine cones and words in Chocolate Chip. I've added a splash of Cherry Cobbler for the ornament and the word "Joy" (from the Wonderful Wreath" framelits).

Rainbow Easel Card

The brush stroke stamp in the Work of Art just cries out to be turned into a rainbow (and I'm not the only one to think so...I've seen a lot of rainbows out there!). I even used my markers to make my sentiment rainbow-coloured. The sentiment also does the job of propping up the easel.
I love making Easel Cards...they use no more cardstock than a regular card, but sit very impressively on a mantle piece.
I've made my stars glittery using 2-way Glue and Dazzling Diamonds, and also used some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (oh so sparkly!!) under the sentiment.

Kinda Eclectic Stamp-a-Stack

Ever since we received this stamp set at Convention back in May, I knew it was destined to become a Stamp-a-Stack. I don't usually go for overly "arty" sets and I think this one treads the balance between arty and pretty very well.
The images are very forgiving too, and seem to look good no matter what you do with them (gotta love that!).
I've taken my colours from the Park Lane Designer Series Paper - Blackberry Bliss, Soft Suede, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, and Calypso Coral.
