First, let me just say... I love a leaf stamp! They are so versatile, for any age, gender or occasion. We used "Magnificent Maple" (from the Holiday Catalogue) in this month's Stamp-a-Stack Class:
I wanted a mottled, autumn-toned leaf, so I made my own temporary "inkpad", using a folded baby wipe. I just dotted it with ink refills in Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip and Sahara Sand, and then used it to ink up my stamp. The colours start off quite intense and then soften as you stamp more images (the top right card was my first stamping).
I've used "Sweater Weather" DSP on these, and a dash of Gorgeous Grunge in the background, and punched the leaves out with the 2-1/2" Circle Punch.
....I think these are my favourite Stamp-a-Stacks of this year.

Introducing.....The Envelope Punch Board!
Say hello to a fabulous new tool! It creates totally customisable envelopes in up to 66 different sizes(not to mention a million different colour and pattern options depending on the paper you want to use). Even tried and true envelope sizes will only take you moments to create!
It's super easy to use, it's small and lightweight, very portable and easy to store. It even has a clever scoring tool as well as a punch that lets you create rounded corners on your envelopes. It's easy to keep it all together; the stylus storage compartment and two punches are designed into the tool so you don't have lots of little pieces to keep track of (even the instructions are printed right on the tool so you won't lose them!). And it's a bargain - only $31.95 and available to order NOW.

Thinlits Card Dies
I'm a little slow in getting this on my blog...I've been too busy playing with the thinlits to actually blog about them! I bought both sets (because choosing was just too hard!) and I'm loving them! So far I've made flip cards, a gift pouch and a gift card holder. It's such an easy way to make a 'wow' card with very minimal effort. Come along to my November Technique Class and I'll show you how.
These are available to order NOW!

Faux Silk Christmas Dove
At our monthly Team Meetings, we always explore a stamping technique. For some, it's a chance to learn something new, and for others, it's a chance to revisit a technique that they may not have played with for a while.
Last month, it was the "Faux Silk" Technique - a simple technique that doesn't require any fancy supplies, so it's perfect for beginner stampers too. You stamp on tissue paper to get the effect of crushed silk. Here's the card I demonstrated:
I've used the gorgeous Calm Christmas stamp set in Island Indigo, and Festive Flurry snowflakes in Pool Party.
Here's some step by step instructions, in case you'd like to try this for yourself:
1. Stamp an image onto tissue paper. You can stamp an outline and gently watercolour it, or stamp a bold image.
2. Scrunch your stamped tissue paper into a ball, and then gently open it up again (be careful not to tear it)
3. Use a glue stick to completely cover a piece of cardstock slightly smaller than your piece of tissue paper.
4. Attach the tissue paper to the cardstock, and tuck the edges and corners under neatly.

Mosaic Madness for Christmas
The Mosaic Madness Stamps make really cute Christmas ornaments...and don't you love a stamp set that can be used for Christmas and all year round too?
I dyed my Whisper White twine Early Espresso by colouring it with a marker. A touch of Glimmer paper adds the perfect dash of sparkle.
The colours I've used are Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green and Whisper White

Calm Christmas Stamp-a-Stack
One of my must-have sets from the Holiday Catalogue was Calm Christmas. I love the peaceful dove image and sentiment. It's perfect in shades of blue:
I've used Night of Navy, Island Indigo and Whisper White. In the background, I've stamped the Festive Flurry snowflakes. There's also a touch of Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the dove.
For the sentiment I've used the Large Oval Punch, and the Decorative Label Punch.
It's a simple design, but this beautiful image doesn't need a lot of extra embellishment.

Season of Style Christmas Cards
Sorry for the unannounced break in transmission....school holidays got the better of me and blogging just didn't happen!
My Card Classes started back last week too, so spare time has been a little hard to come by.
Here's what we made in my most recent Christmas Stamp-a-Stack Class:
I'm going through a ton of the Paper Stacks in the Holiday Catalogue. They are perfect for mass-producing cards (and isn't that what we all do at Christmas?). For this design, I made my patterned paper pieces 4cm x 7.4cm. You can get 6 pieces out of each sheet, which would give you 96 cards out of a pack. For $11.95 that's great value! I've used the Season of Style Stack, but this design would also work well with the Winter Frost Stack.
The sentiments are all from the Joy to the World stamp set, also in the Holiday Catalogue. I've stamped them on one of the Apothecary Accents Framelits shapes.
The colours I've used are from the Season of Style Paper Stack - Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Cherry Cobbler and Crumb Cake (Seam Binding Ribbon)

Earn Extra Freebies! October Promotion
My hubby (Mr MAD Balloons) approves of the October Promotion - it has balloons on it! It took me quite a while to explain to him that the balloons weren't the exciting part of the Promotion flyer. The best bit is that you get extra freebies (I'll take free Stampin' Up! goodies over balloons any day!).
With any qualifying order of $400 or more, you get to choose $85 in freebies. The order can be a group order or an individual order, as long as the total is $400.
You can choose your freebies from the Hostess section or the regular part of any current Catalogue.
This offer is available only until October 31, 2013
