Confetti Celebration Stamp-a-Stack

This is the other design we'll be making in this week's class. This one's a bit more masculine.
If you love punches, you're going to want to invest in the Confetti Celebration stamp set. Lots of punches co-ordinate with this set, which makes card-making super quick and easy.
I've used 2 brand new In Colors on these cards - Dapper Denim and Emerald Envy...great colours for 'boy' cards! I've teamed them up with Smoky Slate and Night of Navy.
You can't really see it in the photo, but there's a little Wink of Stella on the 'party lights' to make them sparkle.

Blooms and Wishes Stamp-a-Stack

It feels like forever since I taught a class! I'm so excited to get back into it this week. We're playing with lots of new colours and products. I had the hardest time deciding which stamp sets to use first... so many new toys!! In the end, I just chose some of my favourites. I love the Blooms and Wishes stamp set. It has such a pretty watercolour look, and the sentiments in the set are really versatile too. It's a photopolymer set, so it's great value too.
I'm also loving the new Oval Framelits. They really do layer so beautifully. And how gorgeous is the new ruched ribbon? Love, love, love it. I think I've gone through about 4 rolls of it already!

Grateful Bunch in Bermuda Bay

The Grateful Bunch stamp set and co-ordinating punch are great when you need a card in a hurry. There's not much to this card, but I was still pretty happy with the result (maybe because I'll always love anything in Bermuda Bay?)
Is it terrible that all my cards say 'for you'? I keep pulling out this sentiment from Birthday Blooms...it just seems to be the perfect fit for all my cards. I'm sure I'll find a new favourite greeting stamp soon!

Sweet Sugarplum Almost-Swap

Sometimes card designs come together straight away, and other times it's a bit more of a process. When I was playing around with ideas for my Grand Vacation swap card, this was my first prototype.
I wasn't 100% happy with it....the background colour felt a little heavy and the ribbon felt a little plain.
Since I had no new ribbons to play with yet, I came up with the idea of sticking washi tape over the Organza Ribbon. That forced me to change the colour scheme to work with the washi tape I had. I also decided to switch the 2 background pieces so that the coloured piece was smaller, and voila...my swap cards were born.

Wisteria Birthday Blooms

I love the Birthday Blooms stamp set. It's my go-to set when I feel like doing some relaxing colouring in. I made a few of these cards in a couple of different colours, but this Wisteria Wonder one was my favourite. I kept the background neutral - Crumb Cake and classic black & white. I used an Aquapainter and inkpad to do my colouring.
I've added a touch of Timeless Texture to the edges as well. It has a little more 'oomph' than sponging.
