CCMC525 Country Home

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

I'm multitasking again this week and I used these beautiful colours to make a special card for another special friend's birthday this month. I have another Sneak Peek for you too. This stamp set is called Country Home. I've also used the Tin Tile embossing folder again, and I couldn't resist the Frost White Shimmer Paint again too! I've coloured this image with inks and Blender Pen. I took a notch out of the corners using my 1/2" Circle Punch. For an embellishment I've used a Galvanised Clip (coming soon!) and a little piece of Gorgeous Grape Mini Striped ribbon. My sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings.

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

Nature's Poem

The Nature's Poem Suite is my go-to for masculine cards. That's not to say the nature-inspired images don't work for women too, because they definitely do. It's just that masculine cards can be a little tricky, and this suite ticks all the boxes.
Here I've used the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper and also the Rooted in Nature stamp set. To embellish it a little more (who says men can't have embellishments?), I've used some Nature's Twine and Leaves Trinkets.
This would make a great Father's Day card!

Graceful Glass

Although it doesn't look like it, there's barely any stamping on this card. The beautiful stained glass panel is part of the 6"x6" Graceful Glass Vellum. I have coloured the reverse side with markers. The result is soft and pretty. To make the colours really glow, I adhered the panel to a piece of Whisper White cardstock.
TIP: so that the adhesive doesn't show, lightly sponge the glue onto the Whisper White cardstock, and then place the vellum on top and smooth it on gently.
The only stamping on this card is the sentiment, from the Painted Glass stamp set.
The colours I've used here are Lovely Lipstick, Pineapple Punch and Basic Black.

CCMC524 First Frost

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:
I have a busy week this week, getting ready for my team weekend retreat. So, I multitasked and used this week's challenge to make a special card for a special friend's birthday.
I'm playing with some new products again this week, from our upcoming Holiday Catalogue. The stamp set is called First Frost, and it contains beautiful watercoloured-look images.
  • I've using the matching Frosted Bouquet dies on this card too, in Vellum and Sparkle Glimmer Paper.
  • I've also used a new embossing folder called Tin Tile. I know I'm going to be using this one a lot!
  • Everything on this card is sparkly, thanks to a liberal dose of Frost White Shimmer Paint (also coming soon!). I've used a sponge to lightly apply it.
  • My colour scheme is Whisper White and Blueberry Bushel (one of this year's new In Colors). I love how crisp these two look together
  • I've also used some products from our Annual Catalogue - Tufted Embossing Folder, Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon, Stitched Shapes dies and sentiment from Picture Perfect Birthday.
I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

Pretty Petal Promenade

I made these cards for some special team member's birthdays last month. I used the stunning Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper, and a few pretty embellishments. I made each one a little different to personalise them. I also sponged each doily (on the reverse side) to co-ordinate.
Hope you're having a lovely week!

Animal Expedition Pizza Box

I love making sets of notecards, especially when there's a super cute stamp set and set of papers to make them with! And even more so when they have cute little envelopes to match, and they all fit inside a co-ordinating Mini Pizza Box. These are all part of the Animal Expedition Suite - perfect for kids...or just the young at heart!
These would make a lovely gift...if you can bear to give them away!

CCMC523 Abstract Impressions

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

It's the middle of winter here, so I put a little Spring in my day with these bright, warm colours and some pretty flowers.
  • There's so much you can do with the Abstract Impressions stamp set. I've used the rose images on this card.
  • The Delightfully Detailed Laser-cut paper adds an extra layer of embellishment
  • I love layering punches, and you might spot a Sneak Peek here - it's a new Punch Tin (in the upcoming Holiday Catalogue) called The Christmas Traditions Punch Box.
  • The other punches are the Pretty Label Punch, 1-1/4" Circle Punch, and Classic Label Punch.
  • I've also sneaked on another new punch on this card - It's called the Sprig Punch, and I've punched my sprigs from vellum.
  • I've also popped on a couple of shiny Best Route Enamel Shapes
  • After I stamped my roses, I ran the piece through the Big Shot with the Subtle Embossing Folder. Check out the linen-look texture. It almost looks like a canvas:

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!
