Another Sneak Peek

Here's another Hippo card, in preparation for the launch of the July-December Mini and Sale-a-Bration Catalogues on Friday. That's right, from 1st July you can order (and earn freebies!) from these 2 Catalogues. 

This little Hippo from Hippest Hippos is doing her best tightrope walk in her special pink tutu and matching parasol. These really are so cute and so much fun to bring to life using the co-ordinating Hippo Dies. I stamped the tutu shirt and parasol on the Hues of Happiness DSP and cut them out. This way, it matches perfectly with the paper in the background.

Hues of Happiness in Yellows

I've gone with sunny yellows and oranges for my third Hues of Happiness card. The card base is Mango Melody, followed by a layer of Daffodil Delight. I really like the background die from the Blossoming Happiness die set. It cuts out some of the pattern, and leaves other parts partially cut, so the colour underneath just peeps through. It has some pretty stitched detail too.

I felt a bit like a florist creating a bouquet on this card. I've always wanted to take a flower-arranging course, but for now I'll content myself with paper flowers!

There is certainly something about yellow that is so cheery. I hope this card brings a smile to your face! Thanks for visiting

Hues of Happiness in Purples

For this card, I grouped together some flowers in purples and blues, from the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper. I added a decorative border using one of the Blossoming Happiness dies. I was going to thread some ribbon through it, but decided to leave it as is. Instead, I just dotted about a few teeny flowers and some Iridescent Pearls to bring it to life.

Hues of Happiness in Pinks

I've been playing with the Hues of Happiness Designer Series Paper again, this time doing lots of fussy-cutting. There are a couple of sheets in this paper pack where the flowers are just begging to be cut out. Luckily I find it very therapeutic, so I sat down and chopped up some flowers. I must be in need of therapy, because I cut enough out for 4 cards, and still had leftovers!!

I also made use of the co-ordinating Happiness Abounds stamp set for the sentiment, and the Blossoming Happiness Dies for the notebook-page border (love this!). For a bit of texture in the background, I used the Gingham embossing folder.

I've just discovered how gorgeous the Iridescent Pearls are, so I've used a few of those on this card. So pretty!
