Perennially Happy

I'm a bit sad that the Pretty Perennials stamp set isn't hanging around a little longer. It's a fun one to splash some colour around with. Here I've used Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Black and White.

You can see the other supplies I've used listed below

Farewell Seaside Spray

I had to have one last play with Seaside Spray, my most favourite of the retiring In Colors. It's such a soft shade of grey-blue. I used Blends to colour the flowers from True Love DSP (also retiring!). I'll really miss this paper too! You can see all the products I used listed below.

Ornate Style

The Ornate Style stamp set (Retiring Soon!) is so much fun to colour. It's nice and large too, so once your colouring is done, the rest of the card will come together nice and easy.

I couldn't resist making this one in lots of different colours:

and then I made it in some more colours!

Which one is your favourite?

Just like Cookies

I went with an unusual colour combination here - Just Jade, Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry. It's from this In Color Combination chart. I must admit that initially I had my doubts, but I really like the retro feel of it!

Do you like my striped background? I made it with one of the stamps in Pattern Play.

I made this card for my lovely hubby. I always know that if I ask him to help me with something, he will do everything he possibly can to do it. On this particular occasion, I was in a tough spot and he dropped everything and went way out of his way to make it better. I'm so lucky to have him! In four days, we'll be celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. I'd better get cracking and make an extra-special card for that!!

Hydrangea Haven

Hydrangeas are such fun to colour! There's no real lines, and you can be a bit blurry and playful with colours. I used Blends and just kind of scribbled all over with Highland Heather and Balmy Blue (both light and dark), and then I coloured over the whole lot with Purple Posy (light), using it to soften any harsh lines and edges. I used Mossy Meadow and Old Olive for the leaves.

I used the Hydrangea Hill DSP for the background panels and framed everything in elegant black. I also stamped my sentiment in black - it's from the Happy Thoughts stamp set (yes, again!).

The finishing touch was some sparkly black Organdy ribbon, and some Shimmery Crystal Effects on the flower:

Can you see the glossy shimmer?
