Wild About Flowers Stamp-a-Stack

How pretty is the Wild About Flowers stamp set? It's a fun one to use too - the stamps and flowers are stamped separately, making it easy to add colour, and the set comes in photopolymer, so it's super easy to line up too.
I've kept to quite natural colours and tones, with just a pop of colour for these cards - Mossy Meadow, Watermelon Wonder, Tangelo Twist and Hello Honey, along with Early Espresso, Whisper White and Crumb Cake.
The corrugated cardstock, torn edges, linen thread and cotton ribbon provide texture. I've also either stamped a hardwood wall, or embossed a brick wall on these cards.
If you're wondering where the greeting stamp set comes from, you'll find them in the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit (not available separately). Think of it as a Greeting stamp set that comes with some bonus cards!

Vintage Leaves Stamp-a-Stack

It's been pretty busy around here lately! I have been getting ready for my upcoming team Stamp Camp this weekend and also preparing for my Holiday Catalogue Launch Party in a couple of weeks. As well as all that, Amy is currently completing her final year of high school and has her final HSC exams coming up soon (I still find it hard to believe I have a daughter who is 18!)
However, I've still been finding time to run a few classes every month. These are some of the cards we made in my August Stamp-a-Stack Class. I always have requests for male cards, and I think these fit the bill. I love leaf stamp sets, and I think this is one of the best ones we have had - the leaves can be watercoloured (but look great uncoloured too), there are lots of different shapes and sizes, and the best part is that there is a matching set of framelits (= no fussy cutting, yay!).
I've paired the leaves with a splash of Gorgeous Grunge, and stamped them on an Ornate Tag, torn at the bottom for some extra texture.
The colours I've used are Tip Top Taupe, Cajun Craze, Delightful Dijon, Basic Black and Very Vanilla.

A New Addition!

I've been a little bit preoccupied lately, because this bundle of cuteness arrived in our lives:
This is my new little nephew Miles, a little brother for Leo. Don't you just want to sniff that new baby smell, and cuddle him all day long? I do!!

And here's something not quite as cute (since this is a stamping blog, after all):

We made this card at one of my team meetings, using the Wild About Flowers stamp set (a new addition to our catalogue ....see what I did there??). Chopping a panel into 3 parts is a great way to add visual interest without having to add more layers. I'm LOVING the new heavier weight white cardstock (another new addition). I've also used the new Washi Label punch, and Gold Thread
The colours I've used are Cucumber Crush, Tangelo Twist, Delightful Dijon and Watermelon Wonder.
Now, excuse me while I go and sniff a baby!

All About Sugar Flower Pot

It's always fun to find new and different ways to use stamp sets. I shared this one at our team meeting last week. For our make-and-take we used “All About Sugar” – it’s a stamp set designed to work with the Fry Box Die (Annual Catalogue, page 61). Here, I’ve used it to make a card instead. The Striped pattern becomes a pot, to hold a bunch of flowers. I've used a blade to cut a slit in the top of the 'pot', so the flower piece can slide in and out. You could also attach a gift card to the back of the flowers, making your card a present too!

I’ve used the Pretty Petals 6” x 6” Stack to decorate my card. To make this card, you only need half a piece from the stack (3” x 6”). The co-ordinating colours are Calypso Coral, Very Vanilla and Old Olive.

Fry Box Popcorn Treats

These little Fry Boxes are some special treats that I whipped up for my Class Ladies last month, to celebrate the new Catalogue. I used all 5 new In Colors, and filled my boxes with some yummy Salted Caramel Popcorn (I used this recipe HERE). They were fun to make, and hopefully fun to eat too!
