CCMC597 Parisian Blooms

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

Well, it's called a challenge for a reason, I guess! Ouch, these colours were so hard to work with, and I still don't feel like I really pulled it off. I would never put Cherry Cobbler with these 2 pretty pastel shades. So, I reached straight for the Parisian Blooms Specialty Paper, and let it do most of the work. I cased my layout from page 21 of the Mini Catalogue. Those beautiful words are from the So Sentimental stamp set. I used the co-ordinating Stitched So Sweetly dies to cut it out, as well as the scalloped rectangle.

The star of the show is the gorgeous Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon. I think it really finishes off this card.

I hope you like my card! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page

Quick Little Umbrellas

I seem to be doing so many floral cards lately, so I thought I'd better mix it up a bit and toss in some more umbrellas! At $53 for the Under my Umbrella stamp set and punch bundle, you don't need to think too hard about this one.

For this card, I made it super quick by just punching some sweetly pattertned brollies from the Best Dressed 6"x6" DSP, and some Smoky Slate handles. You could easily whip up a batch of these cards, with sentiments for all occasions....I think I might just do that!

Thanks for stopping by!

Timeless Tropical Blues

The more I play with the Timeless Tropical stamp set, the more I like it. I love the 50's-Hawaiian -surfer vibe it has. The co-ordinating products are lots of fun too. The Coastal Weave embossing folder is getting a lot of use, and I love the Braided Burlap Trim too.
I used Pool Party for my background panel, and coloured the hibiscus and frangipanis with Blends.

'I hope you're having a lovely day!

CCMC596 Thoughtful Blooms

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

I love a 3-panel layout! I decided to make my own DSP for my panels, using the Thoughtful Blooms Sale-a-Bration stamp set. I chose Pretty Peacock, Mint Macaron and Balmy Blue for my colour scheme. My panels are 4cm wide.
I used the Label me Bold stamp set for my sentiment. I snipped it out with my scissors and mounted it on an extra white layer for some extra oomph. For embellishment, I used the stunning Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon from the Mini Catalogue. I also popped some tiny Rhinestones in the centre of all the flowers.

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

Under my Umbrella Tags

I love a stamp set and punch bundle. It's a sure-fire recipe for quick and easy cards. For these cards, I just chose some pretty colours (Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick, Daffodil Delight and Pool Party), stamped some Under my Umbrella images in Memento ink, coloured them with my Blends and popped them on to some tags. Then I decided to turn them into full cards by popping them onto a card base with a stamped raindrop background.

Why make one card, when you can make four, right? Which colour do you like best?

CCMC595 Little Ladybugs

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

I would never in a million years have put these colours together. I guess that's why we have Stampin' Up! to do it for us! If you've seen the new Mini Catalogue, then you've seen these colours...they are pretty much splashed all over the front cover. They are part of the Peaceful Poppies Suite, and I love every part of this suite, so maybe I do love these colours together after all!

I resisted the urge to go with poppies for my card, but I did use some of the Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper. The adorable stamp set I've used is called Little Ladybug, and sadly you can't buy it. The good news is, you can earn it! A $500 group or individual order will earn you this set, as well as the usual Stampin' Rewards.

I coloured these little ladies, and their flower with my Blends. Not much adornment was necessary after that - just a Stitched Circle to frame them and a bit of twine.

I hope you like my card! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page

It's Blog Hop Time!

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop! I missed last month as I was in the middle of all things Christmas, but happily I can join in again this month. You can make the complete circuit and see all the lovely creations by following the links at the end of each post.

For January our brief was the Mini Catalogue. With so many gorgeous products in the catalogue to choose from, the hardest part was choosing which ones to focus on! Here's what I made:

I pulled out my favourite Designer Series Paper at the moment, Best Dressed. I just started snipping out handbags (because I enjoy fussy cutting, and find it relaxing!) and then I decided I needed a shelf to put them on. I took inspiration from the card on page 54 of the Mini Catalogue. This paper has fun shoe and handbag prints, but also pretty floral patterns and some plainer patterns too (like the one I've used in the background here).

If you like useful phrases and pretty fonts, check out the Peaceful Moments stamp set on page 27. I know this one is going to get a LOT of use from me.

Well, that’s it from me. Thanks for stopping by! Click on the button below to move to the next stop:

If you happen to lose your way here’s a list of all the participants:
