May Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop! This month we have a Sketch Challenge. You can make the complete circuit and see all the gorgeous creations by following the links at the end of each post.

I've used the Country Lace Designer Series Paper for this sketch:

This is such beautiful paper. It's part of the Country Woods Suite. I love the colours and the subtlety of the patterns. For the focal part of this card, I used the Spotlight on Nature Dies. I cut the circle in half and off-set the two halves. The sentiment (from the Sentimental Park stamp set) covers the gap. I used a few die-cut flowers from the Country Flowers Dies as embellishment, and popped an Iridescent Pearl in the centre of each one.

This was a fun card to make!

Well, that’s all from me. Click on the button below to move to the next stop:

April Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop! This month we have a Colour Challenge. We had to use Boho Blue, Moody Mauve and Mossy Meadow. You can make the complete circuit and see all the lovely creations by following the links at the end of each post.

I decided this would be the perfect colour combination to use with the Hills of Tuscany stamp set... before it retires in a couple of weeks!

You can create any Tuscan (or other!) scene that your heart desires with this stamp set. It comes with both detailed images and sentiments that you can pair together to create your own landscape scene. Each stamp is beautifully detailed, and can be easily layered. The images have such depth and dimension when stamped.

Not many supplies are needed to create a card like this, mainly just inks, stamps and paper. I did add some texture with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. I also swiped the Moody Mauve background panel with my Whisper White inkpad to soften it just a little.

Well, that’s all from me. Click on the button below to move to the next stop:

March Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop! This month we have a Sketch Challenge. You can make the complete circuit and see all the gorgeous creations by following the links at the end of each post.

I've used the Delightful Floral Designer Series Paper for this sketch:

This is such beautiful paper. It's part of the Online Exclusives Offering. For this card I cut out some of the larger flowers. I popped them on a Scalloped Rectangle from the Scalloped Contours Dies. I also used a piece of the Pretty Peacock Glorious Gingham 6"x6" paper behind my image. To give the background some subtle texture, I used the Distressed Tile 3D embossing folder. The sentiment is from the Go to Greetings stamp set (such a handy set...I use this one a LOT!). For the horizontal element I used some white twine. The finishing touch is a few Iridescent Rhinestones.

Well, that’s all from me. Click on the button below to move to the next stop:

February Blog Hop

Happy Valentine's Day, and welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop! This month we have a tic-tac-toe Challenge. We had to choose 3 items in a row to incorporate into our card. I went in a diagonal and chose Designer Series Paper, Dies and/or Punches and Ribbon or Twine, for my card. I use these 3 things on pretty much every card I make, so it was an easy choice!

It's going to be fun to see what everyone else chose. You can make the complete circuit and see all the gorgeous creations by following the links at the end of each post.

Here is my card:

I decided to continue playing with the Most Adored Designer Series Paper, in honour of Valentines Day today. That took care of the "DSP" part of the challenge (and it's a FREE Sale-a-Bration item!). The "punches" are the hearts that I punched using the Bee Builder Punch. The large heart is actually bee wings! The "twine" is White twine from the Baker's Twine Essentials pack.

The sentiment is from the Throughout the Year stamp set, stamped on a strip of Flirty Flamingo cardstock. I lightened the tone of the cardstock first by swiping it with White Craft ink and then wiping it dry with a tissue (if you look closely, you can see that it is lighter than the border piece, which is it's regular colour). This meant that it matched the lighter pink shade in the DSP, and my sentiment stood out a bit more. In other colouring tricks, I tinted my Adhesive-backed Hearts & Flowers using Real Red and Flirty Flamingo Blends.

I hope you like my card! Click on the button below to move to the next stop:

January Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop! This month we have a fun Colour Challenge! We had to use Berry Burst, Crushed Curry and Pretty Peacock. You can make the complete circuit and see all the lovely creations by following the links at the end of each post.

I decided this would be the perfect colour combination to use with the Trusty Toolbox Sale-a-Bration DSP. Well, almost perfect...I did colour over the Lost Lagoon with a Pretty Peacock Blend!

I always need some masculine cards for my stash, so this Trusty Toolbox DSP (one of the free Sale-a-Bration items) is coming in very handy. There's a co-ordinating stamp set and die bundle in the Mini Catalogue on page 56 too!

Berry Burst might seem an unlikely colour for a masculine card. But who says boys can't have pink? I stamped my sentiment in Berry Burst, added a layer of Berry Burst cardstock and also coloured some Melon Mambo Iridescent Adhesive Discs with a Berry Burst Blend. The sentiment is from the Heartfelt Hellos stamp set (another Sale-a-Bration item). I used a card on page 11 of the Sale-a-Bration brochure as my layout inspiration.

Well, that’s all from me. Click on the button below to move to the next stop:

Beary Cute Christmas

I 'm having fun making Christmas cards at the moment, and I couldn't resist making some using the Beary Christmas Suite. Those polar bears are just so cute!

For this card, I used the Beary Christmas Designer Series Paper. I snipped out the image of this tree-decorating bear and bunny. They make a great team!

In the background, I used a couple of patterns from the paper. I love the 'Christmas sweater' look of these. The sentiment is from the co-ordinating Beary Cute stamp set.
