CCMC585 Trick or Treat

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

These colours just scream Halloween and since today is Halloween, I thought I'd better run with it! For this week's challenge, I've used the very cute Birds of a Feather stamp set. The nice thing about this set is that it's not just for Halloween. It has birdies for Christmas, Valentines and other occasions too. I stamped this little guy on a Stitched Shapes circle and coloured him with my Blends.

 

The banner has been cut from the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. In the background, I used the Corrugated Embossing Folder and distressed it by tearing and inking it. I think it kinda looks like rusty corrugated metal sheets. I embossed my sentiment in white and punched it out with a circle punch.

Feel Like Frost Stamp-a-Stack

This was the second set of cards we made in Stamp-a-Stack class this month. We used the stunning Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper to make some all-occasion cards. You may have thought this paper was for Christmas, since it is in our Holiday Catalogue, and indeed it does make stunning Christmas cards (like these ones HERE). But, as you can see, it works for Birthdays, and other occasions too.

How stunning are the Ornate Frames Dies? If you skipped over them, it's probably because they're in the Halloween section...but definitely not just for Halloween! The delicate edging and stitched details are just so beautiful.

For embellishment I used some of the Nature's Twine. I needed Navy though, rather than Mint Macaron, so I coloured that piece with a Night of Navy Blend. The finishing touch is some Shimmery Crystal Effects. I used it like dew drops and it adds just a touch of sparkle and shine.

Beautiful Friendship Stamp-a-Stack

These were some of the cards we made at this month's Stamp-a-Stack Class. We used my current favourite stamp set Beautiful Friendship, in shades of purple and green - Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Mint Macaron. I think a few people left this class loving this stamp set too!

CCMC584 Christmas Crowd

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

I decided to use the super cute Christmas Crowd stamp set for today's sketch. I just love how these guys are so cheerily waving at us.  I've paired them with the Let it Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper, and taken my colour scheme from there. The 'specialty' part of this paper refers to the glitter that is on some of the sheets. This particular sheet doesn't have glitter so I added some sparkle of my own to the background pattern with dots of multipurpose glue and Stampin' Ice Glitter (love that stuff!).

 

I stamped these guys in Black Memento ink and coloured them with my Blends. My sentiment is from the Tiny Keepsakes stamp set.

Christmas Stamp-a-Stack Class

Where has the year gone? It's hard to believe that it is October already and soon I will be running my second-last Christmas class of the year! My next stamp-a-stack classes are on Wednesday 30th October. My Wednesday morning class is full, but I still have spots available on the Wednesday night.
