Fanciful Fragrance

At my team Stamp Camp, we had 10 Shoebox Swaps for everyone to make over the course of the weekend. I've already showed you my design, but I thought you all might like to see some of the other cards that were designed by some of my lovely team members.

What is a Shoebox Swap, I hear you ask? All the ingredients for making a card are included in each box, including pre-cut cardstock. It's great to be able to sit down and make 10 cards without having to think/plan/design. For some of these, I made some small changes, usually because I made a boo-boo and needed to cover it up!!

This gorgeous card was designed by Cathie Witcombe. It was so fun to play with a stamp set that I don't own (yet!). I love the vintage style of the Fanciful Fragrance set, and I think Rococo Rose is the perfect colour for this set. The ribbon and the sequins give it a touch of glamour.

Thanks for visiting. Leave Cathie some comment love!

CCMC580 Snowman Season

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

Even though we don't have a White Christmas here in Australia, who could resist these adorable snowmen from the Let it Snow Suite? Plus, I have friends and family in the Northern Hemisphere that I send cards to who do get snow at Christmas. Also, I think since we have all grown up with images of White Christmases, it doesn't feel out of place here.

This little guy is stamped from the Snowman Season stamp set. The nice thing about snowmen is that they don't require much colouring! I like to add a touch of Light Pool Party Blend to the white, just to make the shadow lines appear a little 'frosty'. I also made the snowballs puffy using the new Puff Paint.

How cute is that red Curly Ribbon? It's so soft and fuzzy.

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

CCMC579 Birthday Goodness

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

Doesn't this stack of donuts look good enough to eat? The stamp set is called Birthday Goodness and I thought it would be perfect for these colours. All the stamps I've used on this card are part of the set. There's also a yummy-looking macaron tower.
I coloured the donuts with my Blends and then used Puff Paint on the sugar sprinkles. To apply the paint, I squirted a little onto some scrap paper and then applied tiny dots with a toothpick. Then, I heat it with a Heat Tool to make it puff up. It's like magic! Here's a closer look at the result:

I hope you like my card! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page

Blog Hop 10

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop!
For September our Challenge was to use Holiday Catalogue Products.... now that was a challenge simply because there are too many beautiful products to choose from! You can make the complete circuit and see all the lovely creations by following the links at the end of each post.

Here is what I made for this month's challenge:

I've been sick all week with a sinus and middle ear infection, so I decided some colouring in and fussy cutting would be the perfect therapy. I decided on the very cute Yummy Christmas stamp set. I love gingerbread houses and colouring them is almost as much fun as making them...and a lot less time-consuming!

I coloured these images with my Blends, and used the Let it Snow Designer Series Paper in the background. A piece of Real Red Curly Ribbon finishes the card off nicely. It's hard to tell in the photo, but I've also highlighted some of the snowy frosting with Puff Paint, and some of the candies with Shimmery Crystal Effects.

Well, that’s it from me. Thanks for stopping by! Click on the button below to move to the next stop:

CCMC578 Brightly Gleaming

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

With this sketch I decided to showcase my favourite Suite from the new Holiday Catalogue - Brightly Gleaming.

Here are some tips if you'd like to re-create this card:
  • I copper-embossed the ornaments and leaves/berries, then coloured with Blends (Old Olive and Perfect Peacock)
  • All the stamps are from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set, and the ornaments have been punched out using the co-ordinating punch (Buy the Bundle for 10% off!)
  • The Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper is from the same suite - it's a specialty paper with beautiful foiled copper designs on one side.
  • I've matted all my panels on a piece of Copper Foil Sheet

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

Welcome Little One

Just a quick one from me today, as I'm in the midst of a rather busy week! I love colouring the animal images in the Wildly Happy stamp set. I've used a Crumb Cake Blend to colour these cute bunnies.

You can see the other supplies I've used listed below.

WANTED: Class attendees!

This is a shameless plug for my classes! I love running them, but sadly numbers have been in decline for a while now. If you're in need of some craft therapy, I'd love to see you on Wednesday this week. I have a class in the morning and evening. This is one of the cards we'll be making, plus 3 others like it. We'll also be making 4 cards from another set (8 cards in total).

Sadly, I don't have many takers this week, so I'd love to see you if you're in Sydney.

Email me for more details or to book in!

CCMC577 Snowfront

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

I definitely found these colours to be a challenge! I wasn't sure what stamp set to use with these colours, so ....when in doubt, use new stamps!

I pulled out my new Snowfront stamp set, featured in our brand new Holiday Catalogue. If you like Waterfront, then you'll love this one too!

Basically, I went to town and stamped lots of mountains, trees and lakes until I was happy with the effect. Then I gave the whole lot a spritz with some Champagne shimmer paint mixed with isocol. The finishing touch is a sentiment on a banner (also new - from the Seasonal Wreaths stamp set), and a piece of twine. I dyed my white twine using a Pretty Peacock Blend
