Snail Mail

Who would have thought that a snail could be so cute?? If only they were in real life. Maybe if they were pink and blue instead of greeny-brown, that would help! The co-ordinating Snail Mail Designer Series Paper is just adorable too... I love those mushrooms!

I coloured this snail gal using Blends - in Light Rococo Rose and Pool Party, the closest match to the Blushing Bride and Coastal Cabana that I've used on this card. I also added a small bow with the Snail Mail Twine.  The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set in the Annual Catalogue.

I hope you like my card!

CCMC648 A Pop of Colour

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

I love black and white, with a pop of colour, and I was so excited when I saw that we have a Black and White Designer Series Paper set in our Mini Catalogue. The True Love Designer Series Paper has very versatile patterns on one side and beautiful images, perfect for colouring, on the other. On this card I've made use of both!

I chose a subtle pattern, with a black base for the background, and cut out some flowers to act as a feature. I decided to use Magenta Madness as my 'pop' of colour....and it certainly does pop! I coloured the flowers with Blends, leaving the leaf uncoloured.

The sentiment is from A Touch of Ink,  a Sale-a-Bration stamp set. I stamped it on a punched circle. To bring in a bit more Magenta Madness, I added a border using the Be Mine Stitched Dies. I use this particular die a lot.

I hope you like my card! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page

Birthday Suit!

Ha! It's a Birthday Suit, geddit? ...OK, I think I should stick to my day job!
I did enjoy putting this shirt and tie card together though, using products in the Well Suited Suite. It was quick and easy to put together, since the only stamping was the sentiment.

Floral Texture

How gorgeous is this Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper? I just love the hand-painted look of all the patterns. Here I've given it even more of a hand-painted effect with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder.

I think I'll be whipping up a bunch of these to have on hand, using other patterns of the paper!

CCMC647 Darling Donkey

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

How cute is this little guy? He is a Darling Donkey, from the Darling Donkeys Sale-a-Bration set.

I have coloured him with Blends and layered him on the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper (also a Sale-a-Bration item).  I think these checks add a bit of a country feel, and I've echoed them with the Absolutely Argyle embossing folder.

For the sentiment, I stamped the words 4 times and embossed them in white. They were surprisingly easy to line up on the cardstock strip!

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

Ice Cream and Sprinkles

Ice Cream with Sprinkles anyone? Doesn't this look good enough to eat?

This was a quick card to make. I adhered 3 strips of Designer Series Paper to a white piece of cardstock, leaving space to stamp the sentiment. I punched the ice cream elements from the DSP too, and decorated the top with sprinkles (adhered with a dot of Multipurpose Glue). Super simple, but bright and fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

Well Suited

I must admit, I was a bit surprised how much fun it was to dress a card up in a suit! The 'fabric' patterns in the Well Suited Designer Series Paper are so realistic - they make perfect suits, ties and shirts! You almost have to touch them to realise it's just paper, not fabric. And with the dies you can make all sorts of combinations, from formal tuxedos to business shirts, to checkered pyjamas...perfect for all the men in your life!

Thanks for visiting. You can see all the products I used to make this card listed below!

CCMC646 A Touch of Ink

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

The hardest thing about having new stamps to play with is deciding which ones to ink up first! For this colour challenge, I decided on the pretty flowers and leaves in A Touch of Ink.

This 2-step stamp set makes it so easy to make quick cards. I used full-strength colour for the outline image and stamped-off once for the bold image. The sentiment I've used is from the same set.

The patterned paper I've used is from Fine Art Floral, in the Mini Catalogue. I used a piece of vellum across the front for a touch of softness. The ribbon is from the Flowers for Every Season Combo pack.

I hope you like my card! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page

January Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop! I missed last month as I was in the middle of all things Christmas (and an Engagement Party for my daughter!), but happily I can join in again this month. You can make the complete circuit and see all the lovely creations by following the links at the end of each post.

For January our brief was to use products from the Mini Catalogue and/or Sale-a-Bration brochure. With so many lovely products in these catalogue to choose from, the hardest part was choosing which ones to focus on! Here's what I made:

I has such fun colouring this succulent image from the Simply Succulents stamp set on page 39 of the Mini Catalogue. I love this colour scheme too - Just Jade, Pretty Peacock and Old Olive... and Cinnamon Cider is the perfect Terracotta Pot colour! I used Blends to colour the image and dies to cut it out.

The Designer Series Paper in the background is part of the bundle you get for free when you join Stampin' Up! during Sale-a-Bration. There's 200 sheets of paper in the bundle - Definitely a great perk!

I think the Braided Linen Trim adds the perfect rustic touch to this card. I stamped the sentiment on Crumb Cake cardstock to complement the trim.

Well, that’s it from me. Thanks for stopping by! Click on the button below to move to the next stop:
