CCMC608 Beautiful Moments

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

How sweet are these little girls? This was my first play with the Beautiful Moments stamp set from the Mini Catalogue. All of the images feature scenes of women and girls, and this one is my favourite. It reminds me of myself and my little sister when we were young. These images are a delight to watercolour. I stamped in Memento ink and used my Blends - Pool Party, Real Red, Crumb Cake and Petal Pink.

The Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper has soft watercolour washes on one side of each page. I thought these soft Pool Party stripes would be perfect for this beach scene. I used Sahara Sand as my base card colour. I gave it some texture with the Subtle embossing folder.

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

April Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop!
For April we have a Colour Challenge. You can make the complete circuit and see all the lovely creations by following the links at the end of each post.

Here is what I made with these 3 colours:

How cute is this little guy? As soon as I saw that Smoky Slate was one of the colours, it was all the excuse I needed to ink up this little koala from Bonanza Buddies. I cut him out and gave him a party hat, complete with a Bermuda Bay pom pom. I love how he looks like he's waving.

I used Stitched Shapes and Stitched So Sweetly Dies on this card, and echoed the stitching in the pattern I've chosen from the Brights DSP pack.

I stamped some subtle pom poms in Versamark on the Smoky Slate piece, and finished with a piece of twine tied in a bow.

Well, that’s it from me. Thanks for stopping by! Click on the button below to move to the next stop:

My Meadow

I know this should be a Happy Easter card that I'm showing you today, but with everything that's going on in the world, I haven't been very Easter-y this year.

This is one of those stamp sets that has infinite possibilities. It's called My Meadow, and with it you can make pretty much any scene your heart desires. I'm no watercolour painter, but I kinda feel like one when I use this set. I started by stamping the bridge and then built the other elements around it. I used a soft colour palette- Pool Party, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow.
You can see the other materials I used listed below.

Have a Happy Easter!

StampingPals Challenge #SP2

Today I have a card to show you that I made for the StampingPals Challenge Blog. The challenge for April is a sketch challenge:

I decided to use the gorgeous Botanical Prints Product Medley for my card. Everything on this card is part of the Medley, apart from the Basic Black card base and the Copper Foil Sheet that I've used as a mat.

This was a super-quick card to make. The diecuts that I've used come in the medley, pre-coloured and ready to go. All I did was cut the DSP to size, stamp the sentiment inside the die-cut frame, and pop it all together. I finished it off with a piece of ribbon and a little bee (also included in the Medley)

I had fun playing along with this challenge. Thanks for stopping by!

CCMC607 Timeless Tulips

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

Confession time: I really struggled with these colours! None of them are my go-to colours at all. So, I did my usual trick (cheated!) and used lots of white, with just a small splash of colour.

I thought these colours would work well for tulips, so I pulled out my Timeless Tulips stamp set. I inked up the tulip flower in Crushed Curry, and then inked just the lower half in Poppy Parade. I used a sponge dauber to blend the ink on the rubber before I stamped it on Whisper White cardstock. The stems and leaves are stamped in a mixture of full and half-strength Garden Green.

In the background, I used the Scripty 3D embossing folder. For the sentiment I used Label me Bold. To bring it all together I used some Silver Thread and a few Rhinestones.

I hope you like my card! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page

Holy Smokes!

The Outdoor Barbecue stamp set is a bit of a departure from my usual style, but I like to challenge myself, and this is a great one for all the barbecue-ers in my life (that would be my hubby!). I stamped my own barbecue background in Terracotta Tile ink on Terracotta Tile cardstock. I coloured the barbecue with my Blends and cut it out. I popped it up on Dimensionals, on a Stitched Rectangle. I stamped the 'Holy smokes' sentiment and the flame straight onto the Stitched Rectangle. A couple of black cardstock strips with flagged ends link the Stitched Rectangle to the card base.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you like my card!

Forever Blossoms

I think one of my favourite stamp sets in the Mini Catalogue would have to be Forever Blossoms. I've used this one a lot. It requires just a touch of colour to bring those pretty flowers to life.
I used Blends on this card (my favourite colouring method), in Mint Macaron and Petal Pink.
I stamped in Basic Grey, rather than black, for a softer look.

To complement these blossoms, I've used a piece of the Parisian Blossoms DSP and some of the gorgeous Petal Pink Metallic-Edge Ribbon.

I hope you like my card!

CCMC606 Positive Thoughts

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

I love this sentiment - we definitely all need more of this in the world at the moment...even if the hugs have to be virtual ones. So, let me send out virtual hugs, prayers and love to you all. After all, they say a handmade card is like a hug with a fold in the middle!

I've made good use of the Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper on this card. All three panels come from this one pack. I love how subtle the patterns are, and the colours are some of my faves - Pool Party, Old olive and Soft Suede, on a background of Sahara Sand.

The stamp set I've used is called Positive Thoughts. I cut out the sentiment using one of the Stitched Labels Dies.

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!
