CCMC568 Daisy Lane

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
We have something different for the month of July, to celebrate the release of our new Annual Catalogue! Each week there will be a picture from the new catalogue, and we can be inspired by either the stamp set, layout or the colours. This is our project for Week 1:

 

I've taken my inspiration from the colours and Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper. The colour scheme is Rococo Rose, Merry Merlot, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Soft Suede and Very Vanilla. I used the Daisy Lane bundle. I'm loving the new Medium Daisy Punch. It's the perfect partner for the large Daisy Punch. I stamped my daisies first and then punched them out and sponged the edges. I also used the punches for the leaves. I curled the petals with my bone folder and also added an extra layer to the centres and fringed the edges.

The Pressed Petals Paper has beautiful pressed flower photographs, and on the reverse side, there are some lovely textural patterns - this hessian is one, and so is the script. I've accentuated the hessian with the Subtle Embossing Folder, and some extra sponging.
How divine is that Rococo Rose Gathered ribbon? It's in the inspiration pic and I couldn't resist using it on my card too. It's hard to see in the pic, but I've also used the Rose Metallic Thread behind the daisies.
