CCMC449 Make a Medallion

It's Thursday, and that means a new Weekly Challenge over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com
Here's my take on this week's sketch:

I'm trying to get as much use as I can from the Make a Medallion Sale-a-Bration set before it disappears on March 31. This card feels a little Moroccan or Indian to me...maybe it's the colours, or just all those beautiful mandala-like medallions. I've used Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach and So Saffron (with Very Vanilla and a splash of Gold).
Here are a few tips:

• To make the decorative element in the corner I used the Flourish thinlits, the Classic Label punch, a gold mini paper clip, and some of the gold Sale-a-Bration ribbon. It sounds like a lot, but I think they work together well
• The gold strip at the bottom, and the gold flourish thinlit actually started out as So Saffron cardstock. I've coloured them in with Gold Wink of Stella.
• I've also dotted Gold Wink of Stella on various parts of the medallions, and spattered it on the background piece. It's all very sparkly in real life!
