And because she is so nice, she sent me a sample of her Ribbon Rings to try.
So now, I have lengths of ribbon, all organised on little tags, hanging on a ring.
I don't have a lot of hanging space, so I've just put my most-used colours onto the ring, but if you had a free wall, you could make a gorgeous display.
So this is where you come in....Melissa sent me a Ribbon Ring Tag Bundle to give away as Blog Candy. You get 30 tags and inventory dots, and a metal ring to hang them on!
Leave a comment letting me know why you NEED ribbon storage help, and you could be lucky! This offer is open to ANYONE. Stampin' Up! demos and overseas residents included!
I'll draw a random entry later on this week.
Well Marelle
ReplyDeleteI keep NEEDING ribbon so I keep NEEDING ribbon storage. I had a go at making these but the rings you have shown look way better than my
attempt!!!
Hi Marelle, I NEED one of these because although I've bought TWO Kaiser ribbon storage boxes recently and they are both full to the brim...I STILL have a basket full of bits of ribbon!! And I'm about to get some more...if they had ribbon hoarders-aholic I'd have to join LOL!
ReplyDeleteOMG does she sell them? I really need something like that to tidy my ribbons and make them all pretty, lol.. Maybe I just need to stop buying ribbon... Hhhhmmm... NAH, lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool idea. I keep my ribbon in a basket. It is semi organised though - all my lengths of same-style ribbon are rolled and put into lunch bags together!! I was happy with my basket until I saw the ring.....that's a must have!
ReplyDeleteNarelle
Hi Marelle, I have my small stash of ribbons on a card but somehow they keep unravelling and don't look near as pretty as that cool ribbon ring. Then I can get more ribbon?!
ReplyDeleteSandra
De-lurking to join in. My ribbons would look so much nicer on a ribbon ring than jumbled in a shoe box like they are at the moment.
ReplyDeletemy ribbon is a tangled mess this sounds like a great idea!!!
ReplyDeleteI would love to organise my ribbon supply. They are currently in old envelopes and glass jars. Does not do them justice at all.
ReplyDeleteHi Marelle
ReplyDeleteI would just love one of these ribbon rings, my ribbons are stored in a box and it can become very messy, this is just a fantastic idea..very clever.

This looks like a great idea. I have some in a box (a bit of a mess) and some are tided together and hung up. I would love to organise my ribbons as they are something I really have problems keeping under control.
ReplyDeleteI *need* ribbon storage so that I have a chance of finding the colours I want! :)
ReplyDeleteMy ribbon has taken over my stamp corner. I have it stuffed in drawers and in containers and I can't find anything!
ReplyDeletedo you know how many comments you are going to get mauahahahahaha!
ReplyDeletehow cute are they! atm all my excess ribbons are scrunched up in a little box *blush*
Well my two 10 litre ribbon storage containers are overflowing so it could be a good idea to get a new system so that I can choose with a bit more ease. Marls
ReplyDeleteI love ribbon and using ribbon on cards, scrapbook pages and projects. Unfortunately, I have yet to find a good system for storing them where I can both see them (so I am more likely to use them) and where they don't take up much space. I am spacial challenged for my craft supplies. This looks like a great system.
ReplyDeleteHow cool are these I am always looking for new ways to organize.
ReplyDeleteI need a ribbon ring bacause I have a little (okay, not so little) problem with buying ribbon. I love it all and it seems I always need a color or size I don't have. So as a result of all this ribbon buying it is taking over my craft room.
Ohh, what an awesome idea!! I would love to have my ribbons organized and not shoved in a glass jar. Thank you for the chance to win one!
ReplyDeleteYay I can enter!!! so while I have my new IKEA storage that is full of my rolls and the organiser which has my loose grosgrain I still have all my other loose ribbon bits that these would be perfect for! Have fun reading....
ReplyDeleteHi Marelle,
ReplyDeleteHmmmmmm, why I would love, or rather desperately NEED, lol, about a hundred of these?? Well, I have 3 shoeboxes, a huge wicker basket, and two drawers full of ribbon. Such a task to find what I need when I need it. Then when I find it, ribbon is pretty scrunched up and wrinkley...(is wrinkley a word??) Keep trying to organize it, but as soon as I sit and make a card, it soon becomes a disaster, :o(
Have a sparkling day!!

Hi Marelle
ReplyDeleteI was so inspired by your punch storage that i converted an old \wadrobe of ours into a great stamp storage area (with a little help from my hubby..lol)
so i would adore a ribbon ring to complete the look!
Thanks Ally

WOW - what a great idea! It sure would help clean up the tangled mess I have now! : )
ReplyDeleteMy t'ware container is full and overflowing, could do with anything that sorts all my ribbons - I'm a ribbon-aholic :o)
ReplyDeleteJenna
I have lengths of ribbon all tangled up in boxes and it would be great to win these to sort it all out.
ReplyDeleteRobyn A
This sounds great - at the moment all my ribbon is in a box and overflowing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the opportunity - Janine
Hi Marelle
ReplyDeleteI would love a ribbon ring - I am renovating my home and the only way I will get a designated craft romm is to keep everything nice and tidy - a ribbon ring would be a great start!
Liz
My ribbon stash is a little like my craft room. I need of dire organisation!
ReplyDeleteRibbon rings look like a great idea, Marelle. I have a drawer storage system where the drawers always fall out of the locker and the ribbons are forever messy and unwinding. A new storage concept would be great for me.
ReplyDeleteHi Marelle
ReplyDeleteI NEED to have one of the ribbon rings. I NEED and love ribbon of all colours, design and texture, but most of all NEED to organise and see what I have in my collection, then as I NEED more ribbon I can look at my much NEEDED RIBBON RING.
Pauline
Wow do I need one of these what a great idea, my ribbons are stuffed in a clear tub and whenever i go to get one it is all crinkled. This would have to be a better storage for ribbons than what i have at the moment.
ReplyDeleteHi Marelle,
ReplyDeletePerhaps if my ribbons weren't stashed away in a rather boring box, but all neat and organized and easy to look through I would use them more often.Ribbon is a great finishing touch to any card.
Hi Marelle, Currently my ribbon is literally 'stuffed' into two green shopping bags and of course I can never find the piece I need, when I need it!!! These rings look perfect to go with my new punch storage LOL!
ReplyDeleteCheryl
Hi Marelle, I NEED a ribbon ring or two as my ribbon storage is exactly the same as yours was - only worse because it is also in box on a shelf so I can't even see it!!!! Love all your Kristina Werner cards btw!!! And congrats on all those top ten spots!
ReplyDeleteJane Logan
Well, I chipmunk all accessories, to the point that I never use them because there will be a perfect occasion in the future! Of course, I never justfiy which occasion it will be! If I had the ribbon storage it might encourage me to use all the beautiful ribbon that is just sitting in a pile waiting for the special occasion. I have ribbon from 2006 that is still new on the role. True Thyme is still an in color, right? JK!
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great blog!
What a great organizing tool! Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI have been looking at this everytime I see one to win. It looks awesome. Please include me.
ReplyDeleteHi Marelle!
ReplyDeleteI am addicted to ribbon--need I say more? Not only that, but my two small boys LOVE to play with all my ribbon, which, by the way, is currently stored in a lidless bin, so when I'm not looking I have ribbon all over my crafting room. A ribon ring would be the best thing to ever happen to my ribbon. All my ribon would be ever so greatful to not be played with by two very curoius boys. The ribbon ring is a GREAT idea!!!!
i need help with any kind of organisation! i couldn't organize myself out of a paper bag =)
ReplyDeleteWell HELLO Marelle - have you seen my ribbon wall on my blog... would LOVE some gorgeous tags like these though to spiff the wall up a bit!
ReplyDeletemy cat gets into my ribbon stash, I usually find my ribbons scattered everywhere, hubby thinks I should throw my rubbish away, please save my ribbons
ReplyDeleteHi Marelle,
ReplyDeleteIf this many other people need ribbon rings, then I guess I do too!! Seriously though, I'm addicted to ribbon too, so anything that helps with storage has got to be a GOOD thing!
Robyn Little
Marelle.... I don't just need a Ribbon Ring.. I need a miracle worker... one of those little Ribbon Fairys that come in at night and tidy it all up!!! LOL
ReplyDeleteSarah
xx
My version of Ribbon storage is putting it all in a drawer and then digging for whatever I need and usually settling for a color that is only half right only to find the right color when I'm done the card and putting the one I used away...Ribbon rings would be a great way to remedy this. thanks for a chance to win one

What a fabulous idea. I've got ribbon in a shoe box, ribbon in a plastic ribbon purse & still extra ribbon sitting in a draw. I would love to be able to hang ribbon above my workspace. Thanks for sharing this with me Marelle. Cheers Paula
ReplyDeleteI'm sure I could use one of those handy gadgets! My current ribbon storage is ziploc baggies and photo boxes. I just dig through till I find the ribbon I'm looking for...not exactly productive. Also, most of my other supplies are very neatly organized, so the ribbon thing is just messin' up my organization!!
ReplyDeleteHi Marelle,
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you have given this away yet but this is the BEST invention EVER. I have just posted this on my teams website. We have a section for storage ideas and I just love this!!!
Thanks
Deb
