Moody Mauve Meadow

I enjoyed doing Cheryl's background technique so much that I've made a couple more cards in some different colours. To make this background just dab an inkpad or scribble a marker on a large block and spritz it with water. Next, dab your Basic White cardstock over the top to transfer the colour. The result is a soft watercoloured background. Once it's dry, you can stamp over the top.

I used the Quiet Meadow stamp set on this card. It has this lovely flower image, as well as some beautiful sentiments and a very handy spatter background that was stamped in Versamark ink for a subtle effect. I also used one of the Basics 3D embossing folders to add some texture to the background.

Lemon Lime Twist Meadow

Today I have another Stamp Camp ShoeBox card to share with you. This one was designed by the lovely Cheryl. 

I love this background effect that Cheryl showed us. To create this look, just dab an inkpad or scribble a marker on a large block and spritz it with water. Next, dab your Basic White cardstock over the top to transfer the colour. The result is a soft watercoloured background. Once it's dry, you can stamp over the top.

October Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop! This month we have a fun Colour Challenge! We had to use Blackberry Bliss, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive. You can make the complete circuit and see all the lovely creations by following the links at the end of each post.

I decided this would be the perfect colour combination to use with the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks:

I am loving these sunflowers. I used Blending Brushes to apply the colour, and then I used the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder to give it some texture. Here's a closer look:

Not much else was required, just a sentiment - this lovely one is from the So Sincere stamp set in the Mini Catalogue. I cut it out using the Nested Essentials dies. I embellished my card with some White twine. You can see everything I used to make this card listed below.

Pink Sunflowers

Did you know sunflowers come in many different colours, including pink? Google it, if you don't believe me! Anyway, when your sunflowers are made of ink and paper, you can make them any colour you like!

The colours I've used here are Flirty Flamingo, Early Espresso and Granny Apple Green. I love how soft and pretty they look. And this sentiment from So Sincere, just says it all...

Abundant Sunflowers

This was my first play with the beautiful sunflower stencils from the set of Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, and as you will soon see, it was not my last!

I used Wild Wheat for the petals, Copper Clay for the centres and Garden Green for the leaves. I used a Deckled Circle to frame my sunflowers (love these new dies!). In the background I used the Timeworn Type embossing folder. I lightly 'swiped' the raised surface with my White inkpad. 

I stamped my sentiment from So Sincere on a Nested Essentials die, and tied some Natural Wavy Trim around it.
