Fresh as a Daisy Card Set

Here's my set of cards, all made using the Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper, along with the Sentimental Park stamp set and dies. 

These cards were lots of fun to make and a big step outside my colour comfort zone.

Daisy Thinking of You

And here's my third Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper colour combination! The colours in this sheet are Moody Mauve, Wild Wheat and Copper Clay.

I've added some texture to the DSP using the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder. I tied a piece of 3/8" (1cm) Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon around the join. This ribbon is so soft and lovely to work with. 

For the sentiment, I wanted something a bit extra, so I pulled out the Sentimental Park bundle. I love the delicate look of this die. The finishing touch is some Brushed Metallic adhesive-backed dots. I think this gold colour works really well with this colour combination.

Daisy Thanks

And here's another new colour combination that I would never have thought to try on my own. Thanks Fresh as a Daisy Designer Series Paper! The colours in this sheet are Pretty Peacock, Copper Clay and Crushed Curry.

I've added some texture to the DSP using the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder. I tied a piece of 3/8" (1cm) Copper Clay Textured Ribbon around the join. This ribbon is so soft and lovely to work with. 

For the sentiment, I wanted something a bit extra, so I pulled out the Sentimental Park stamp set and dies. Isn't this die so pretty and delicate? The finishing touch is some Brushed Metallic adhesive-backed dots. I think this copper colour works really well with this colour combination.

GIANT Craft Sale!

Just a reminder, as it is less than 2 weeks away now... Our Annual Craft Sale is happening again on Saturday 27th May. 

There will be LOTS of Craft Bargains, as we all need to seriously de-stash! There will tables full of retired Stampin' Up! stamps, inks, tools, papers and embellishments.

Fresh as a Daisy

I find new Designer Series Paper so inspiring to work with. It gives me a bunch of new colour combinations to try, often ones that I would never have put together on my own. This paper is called Fresh as a Daisy and the colours in this sheet are Pebbled Path, Wild Wheat and Garden Green.

A simple way to 'step up' your DSP is using embossing folders. Here I stuck my Fresh as a Daisy paper onto a piece of 14.3 x 10cm Pebbled Path cardstock, and used the Cane Weave 3D embossing folder to give it some texture. I tied a piece of 3/8" (1cm) Wild Wheat Textured Ribbon around the join. This ribbon is so soft and lovely to work with. 

For the sentiment, I wanted something a bit extra, so I pulled out the Sentimental Park stamp set and dies (so glad these carried over!). The finishing touch is some Brushed Metallic adhesive-backed dots. I think this bronze colour works really well with this colour combination.

May Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop! You can make the complete circuit and see all the lovely creations by following the links at the end of each post.

For May our brief was "Anything Goes". With so many lovely products in the new Annual Catalogue to choose from, the hardest part was choosing which ones to focus on! Here's what I made:

I'm loving the Crafting with You Suite at the moment. It contains so many crafty images and dies, perfect for crafters of all kinds. I think my favourite is the miniature die-cut paper trimmer. It is just so cute! I used the new In Color Pebbled Path for my trimmer, and used some actual grid paper for the trimmer mat. The die even cuts out a miniature blade! I used the dies to cut out a mini pair of scissors too, using Basic Black cardstock and Silver foil. 

I wanted a bright pop of colour on this card, and Lemon Lime Twist (a returning colour) is about as bright as it gets! I used a small piece of  Lemon Lime Twist paper from the Brights 6"x6" DSP Assortment to pop in the mini Trimmer (the Trimmer die even has slits to slide it in!). I also embossed a piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock for the background, using one of the Basics 3D embossing folders.  

I really wanted a Stitched Rectangle to pop all my elements on, so I made one using one of the square Stylish Shapes dies.

I think this sentiment says it all - "Life is better when you're crafting". Words to live by!
