CCMC548 Home to Roost

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

One of the things I love about Sale-a-Bration is that it provides me with an opportunity to step outside my comfort zone and try some stamps that I might not otherwise purchase. This little rooster from Home to Roost is one such stamp!

I stamped him in Black Stazon ink and coloured him with inkpads and Blender Pen. The colours I used are Cajun Craze, Tranquil Tide and Crushed Curry. I cut him out and popped him up on Dimensionals, onto a Stitched Shapes Oval.

The Black Gingham Designer Series Paper is also a Sale-a-Bration item. It's in the Botanical Butterfly Pack - also a free Sale-a-Bration item.

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

It's Blog Hop Time Again!

Welcome once again to the Stampers Anonymous Team Blog Hop! This time we have a colour challenge! On this hop you will see projects made with 3 or more of the colours from the Organdy Ribbon Pack. I've gone with all the colours, except Balmy Blue:

...and lots and lots of white! I think the white really makes these colours pop.
Can you spot the sneak peeks on this card? Starting tomorrow, we have a new batch of Sale-a-Bration products being released. The stunning Country Floral embossing folder is one of them. It's a Dynamic folder (extra thick) so it leaves an amazing 3D impression. The stamp set I've used is called Painted Seasons, and it is also a new Sale-a-Bration freebie. This one is part of a bundle, paired with some gorgeous new Designer Series Paper.

I've added a little stitched scallop detail to this card, courtesy of the Be Mine Stitched Framelits in the Occasions Catalogue. I also punched a couple of vellum sprigs to pop behind the flowers. The sentiment is from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. I've also used some Whisper White Flax Ribbon and some Frosted Epoxy Droplets to add some texture and a little bling.

If this card looks a bit familiar, you obviously know your Stampin' Up! Catalogues. I've actually CaSEd the card on page 7 of the Sale-a-Bration brochure:

Aren't those ribbon flowers stunning? I'm not sure I'm clever enough (or patient enough!) to replicate these, so I made do with stamped versions on my card.

Make sure you check out what everyone else has made with these pretty colours. You can make the complete circuit and see all the lovely creations by following the links at the end of each post.

Mossy Meadow Romance

How stunning is this Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper? I've used the 2 green leafy patterns, but  in the pack there are also 2 stunning vellum patterns, a woodgrain pattern and a pretty Petal Pink one too. I also used a thin strip of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, to contrast with all that green!

The sentiment I've used here is from the Hello Cupcake Sale-a-Bration set. I've stamped in Mossy Meadow.

This would be a very plain card without any embellishment. To add a little interest, I punched some leaves from vellum, popped on a wooden leaf element from the Sale-a-Bration Butterfly Elements, and then attached an Old Olive Linen Thread bow with a glue dot.

I made this card for a special friend's birthday! Thanks for visiting today

CCMC547 Birthday Cheer

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

I had fun going sweet and girly with these colours. I've used the Birthday Cheer bundle, and the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper. This paper is so much fun, with its bright colours and candy-themed patterns.

I love these cute cupcake dies. I popped some coloured pieces behind them, so they could be multi-coloured. It was easy to do, and I love the effect! The confetti in the background is part of the Birthday Cheer stamp set.

I used the Stitched Rectangles to frame my sentiment, and a piece of Gorgeous Grape Striped ribbon is the perfect accent.

I hope you like my card! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page

Amazing Life

If you're looking for a cute, versatile stamp set and some fantastic new stitched dies, head straight to page 28 of the Occasions Catalogue. Amazing Life has beautiful swirly words and lots of extra bits to go along with them. I used my stamparatus to stamp the words on this card, in Gray Granite ink. The cake was stamped in Black Memento ink and then I coloured it with my Blends. The base card is Melon Mambo. I stamped a few background elements in Powder Pink and added a few Twinkle sequins. Silver Twine is the finishing touch.

I was so excited to see Rectangle Stitched Dies in this catalogue. As you may have noticed, I use my Stitched Shapes framelits ALL the time, so adding these rectangles to my collection was a no-brainer!
