How cute are these little guys? I used traditional red and green (Real Red and Shaded Spruce) with a dash of sunny yellow (Daffodil Delight). Perfect Elf colours, I think! These were such fun to colour with Blends. I originally just made tags but then decided to turn them into full cards. Here's the full set:

CCMC592 Playful Penguins

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

I decided to use the super cute Playful Penguins stamp set for today's sketch. I just love how these guys are showing off their dapper outfits! I stamped these guys in Black Memento ink and coloured their accessories with a Real Red Blend. The penguins themselves have lots of detail in the stamp, so no colouring required! My sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set.

There's no challenge next week, as we are having a Christmas break. We'll be back with more in the New Year!

The Best Days

I already showed you this card as part of my Beautiful Friendship Stamp-a-Stack, but it was my favourite so I made a stack more for some special birthdays. I made them in all different colours too -pinks, yellows and reds. They've all been sent in the mail now, to brighten people's days!

CCMC591 Brightly Gleaming

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

I decided to let the Brightly Gleaming papers shine on today's card. It wasn't hard to do, with those beautiful copper accents! This Suite has been so popular that I think most of it has sold out, but don't worry because the stamp set, punches and DSP will be returning again in a future catalogue! 

Here are a few pointers:

• I used Copper Embossing Powder for the Holly and the sentiment to make it really pop
• I stamped the berries on Night of Navy cardstock and the leaves on Mossy Meadow and cut them out
• I used the Swirls and Curls embossing folder on Very Vanilla cardstock for the background
• I used the Ornament punches to punch an extra 'topper' for each ornament from Copper Foil to finish it off
• I CaSEd this card from page 4 of the Holiday Catalogue

CCMC590 Snow Globe Scene

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

I decided that this sketch would be a perfect chance to make a snow globe shaker card! I used the Most Wonderful Time Product Medley, which made it really quick - the DSP and sticker images means I didn't need to stamp much - only the sentiment. I used the Snow Globe Scenes dies to make my snow globe, added a shaker dome and some Ice Stampin' Glitter for the snow inside.

Sailing Home

Just a quick one from me today. I'm in the middle of pre-Christmas preparations at the moment. Our tree is up, and December is a string of visitors, parties, shopping and of course crafting. Lots of fun, but busy too!

Blue or White?

Have you spotted the Nature's Beauty stamp set on the back page of the Holiday Catalogue? So, not only can you create beautiful cards with this set, you can feel good about it too.

I used it recently for a make-and-take at our team meeting. I made 2 versions - they are both Night of Navy, Seaside Spray and Whisper White, but differing amounts on each card. For both, I used the Basic Pattern Masks and sponged an ink background. I also sponged the stitched circle.
