Birthday Shell Collecting

Here's another card that I made using the Shell Collecting stamp set. You can find this one on page 67 of the January-April Mini Catalogue, and I was inspired by the cards featured there too.

The colours I've used here are Basic Beige, Lost Lagoon, Darling Duckling and Calypso Coral. A bit different, but I really love how they look together! Did you know that the stamps in the stamp set are reversible? I stamped the shells and then flipped the stamps on the block to fill them in. I stamped off first, for a softer look. I then used the Soft Waves embossing folder over the top to add some texture. I also used the Linen Look stamp for a subtle background on my card base. The sentiment (stamped in Crumb Cake) is from Product of the Month stamp set Fabulous Sayings. You might have noticed, I've been using this one A LOT, and loving it!

For embellishment I've used all-time favourite Linen Thread along with some Antique Pearls.
