Another Great Year!

Hosting an Open House for 40 lovely ladies is a great way to get back into the Crafting/Classes/Card-making Groove! I think everyone had a fun afternoon....I certainly did! There was plenty of chatting, stamping, eating tasty treats and Catalogue-browsing....and lots of decision-making. Narrowing down a giant wishlist is a difficult process (I should know!)

This was one of the make-and-takes everyone got to make:

We used the (now retired) Sweet Sayings notecards from the recent "Whole Lot of Love" Promotion. If you weren't clever enough to order the notecards, here's an alternative A5-sized version (and a more masculine version too):

The stamp set that I've used is called "Another Great Year" (page 34 of the Occasions Catalogue). A very appropriate name for a kick-off-the-new-year party :o)
Here's my tip for making quick cards - BUY BIG STAMPS lol. I love a stamp that takes up a whole card front...a wee bit of embellishment is all that's required to finish it off.
I used a strip of Retro Fresh DSP on the masculine version, rather than ribbon, and took my colour scheme from there (Baked Brown Sugar, Tangerine Tango, Coastal Cabana and Very Vanilla)
