Upstairs now has all the plumbing and electricals in, and gyprock on the walls. Here they are doing the gyprock:
That photo has been taken from the rumpus room, and you can see the kid's bedroom doors and the bathroom door.
In the last 2 days, the cladding has gone on the outside, and windows too, so it's starting to look like a real house now!
Today they are patching up walls downstairs. Yesterday we had the stairs measured, and they are due to go in next week. It's looking like almost everything will be done by Christmas, so we'll be painting in January :o)
oh wow Marelle!!!!! How exciting to see it at that stage! We so need to add a level onto our house too!!!

PS - are you guys doing the painting yourselves! Me and my hubby are doing major painting in our house over christmas~! Should be mighty interesting since neither of us knows what the heck we're doing! lol
Far out that's happened so quickly! how exciting to think that it will be done by Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHaving said that, I'm sure that living amongst the dust and debris it hasn't felt all that 'quick' to you guys...!
Can't wait to see the finished product :)

ReplyDeleteHi Marelle,
ReplyDeleteYour house is looking fabulous, you won't know yourself when it is all done. We did the same thing about four years ago, building finished early December to accomodate the new arrival - Benjamin!! You will love your new space.
I hope you and your family have a great Christmas amongst the building and I am sure 2010 will hold wonderful things for you all in you new home xox
cheers
