Sydney is a very eerie place today. After hearing gusty winds all night, I woke up to a strange orange glow, and walked outside to find everything covered in a layer of brownish-red dust. I have never seen anything like it. The air is finally starting to clear now, but I feel like taking to the streets with a giant vacuum cleaner to suck up all the dirt that is still blowing around. I have been rinsing my mouth out all day too, to get the gritty feeling out of my mouth.
Hi Ho Marelle! I thought of you this morning actually seeing that on the news!!! That would drive me absolutely nuts? Did you spend the day with your house completely closed up? Hope you have clearer sky's tomorrow!

It's pretty crazy, hey. I caught a glimpse of it on the news this morning and thought - oh no, bushfires. I'm glad it is just dust even though I'm sure it's not pleasant for you Eastern Staters.
