My first thought when I heard about the theme was 'Lovely as a Tree'. It's been around nearly as long as I have (I've been a Demonstrator since May 2006 and it first made an appearance in our 2007-8 Annual Catalogue). But, it's time to say goodbye to this Old Timer (the stamp set, not me!!).
I stamped my sentiment (from another retiring tree set, Sheltering Tree) in Versamark ink on Basic Black cardstock, sprinkled with Copper Embossing Powder, and heat set. I added a Copper Leaves Trinket, and a Linen Thread bow for embellishment (happily, these are both hanging around).
My background paper is from the Classic Garage Paper Pack (also retiring). It was a little too grey, so I darkened the tone by swiping my Black inkpad across it.

I love this card Marelle. I love the brayering for the sunset.
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card, Marelle! Isn't it sad this stamp set is retiring?! I only recently bought it too. The sunset is gorgeous too.
ReplyDeleteA stunning card Marelle! I bet you can see the sunsets out your window a lot better how that the massive tree has gone ;)
