Riding the Wave
I enjoyed making Cheryl's ShoeBox card so much that I decided to make some more cards of my own, all using the Waves of Inspiration bundle in the Annual Catalogue. This card was inspired by one of the samples on page 101 of the Annual Catalogue.
To get this effect with the wave stamp, I first inked up the rubber with Bermuda Bay ink, and then with a sponge dauber, I sponged Pacific Point ink straight onto the rubber in a few places. I just love the effect.
I didn't need to do much else with the rest of the card, just a die cut for the sentiment and some twine. It's hard to tell in the picture but I also added some Shimmery Crystal Effects to the wave.
You can see everything else I used listed below. Thanks for visiting!

Waves of Inspiration
And here is another Stamp Camp ShoeBox card. This one was made by me, but designed for us by Cheryl Taylor.
This is the Waves of Inspiration bundle in the Annual Catalogue. All of this week's cards were inspired by the samples on page 101 of the Annual Catalogue.
Cheryl showed us a fabulous background technique for this card. Simply add a few drops of water to a drop of ink refill on a palette or your inkpad lid. Then lightly scrunch up a small piece of cling wrap and dip it into your ink pool and lightly smoosh and dab it around on your cardstock. This is Shimmery White, but any cardstock works. Doesn't it give a great effect? I'll be doing this again for sure.
You can see everything else I used listed below. Thanks for popping in!

He's the Man Set

September Blog Hop
I decided on the He's the Man Suite for this sketch. I needed some more masculine cards in my stash for Father's Day and some upcoming birthdays
This colour scheme is Cajun Craze, Early Espresso and Sahara Sand. The barbeque comes from the sheet of die-cuts that comes with the He's the Man DSP. All the other patterned pieces are also from the DSP. I even cut out a teeny spatula from the DSP.
I flagged one end of the sentiment and I also added some Rustic Metallic Adhesive-backed dots.
