Party Pandas Banner

 

I realised that I never posted the Party Pandas Banner that I had on display at my Open House. Sorry for the poor quality photo...I just snapped a quick one on the day. The banner was both cute décor and a game. Every Panda was concealing a prize, and everyone had the opportunity to 'Pick a Panda' to reveal their prize. It was too cute to take down after the Open House, so it is now on display on my stair bannisters:

 

 

I used the Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper for my banner pieces (also a Sale-a-Bration item).
I'll be sad to take this down once Sale-a-Bration is over. I'm going to miss these Pandas!

Heartfelt Blooms video

Heartfelt Blooms is one of those stamp sets that gives me a 'wow' moment every time I stamp it. The detail on those flowers is just amazing. Check out the video for some super quick and simple ideas and also some more elaborate ones too!

CCMC501 Bubble & Fizz Pandas

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

I can't believe we're halfway through March already! That means there are only a couple of weeks of Sale-a-Bration left! It's gone crazy fast. I'm going to miss all these fun products.
I've combined 2 of my favourite Sale-a-Bration products on this card - the Party Pandas and the Bubbles and Fizz Designer Series Paper.

To make this card:

• I've punched some circles in my DSP panels for the Pandas to peek through. 
• I've added a touch of colour with my Blends.
• I chopped up the sentiment so that I could give each Panda a word or two.
• The final touch was to pop on some sequins. I love that the Tutti-Frutti sequins have a glue dot on them. It makes them so easy to adhere. The only problem was that they don't come in all the colours I needed. So...Blends to the rescue! I left Lemon Lime Twist as is, and coloured some Soft Sky sequins with my Bermuda Bay Blend, and Daffodil Delight in Calypso Coral. Voila!

Epic Celebrations in Berry Burst

This was the first card I made with Epic Celebrations stamp set...CaSEd directly from the Sale-a-Bration brochure! If you have a look at page 12, you will see a card quite similar to this one. I just changed a few little things to make it my own. I stamped the sneakers in Memento Black ink, and coloured in the areas I wanted white with my Whisper White watercolour pencil. I also coloured in the rest of the sneaker with a light Rich Razzleberry Blend.
The backing piece of Designer Series Paper is from the Tutti-Frutti Stack. I love the look of the Ticket Tear Border Punch on the sentiment piece. The mini sequin trim and the crinkled seam binding add the perfect amount of bling.
I think this would make a great teen or tween card!

Navy Blooms

You might recognise this card. It's a slightly different take on this card from my Launch Party. It's amazing how changing the colour scheme and ribbon can completely change the look and feel of a card. Night of Navy and Whisper White is such a classic combination!

CCMC500 Springtime Foils in Pool Party

This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

I've been going a little crazy using the Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper...just as well it is free! I stamped the sentiment on this card, but everything else is patterned paper, cardstock and Foil sheets. My colour scheme is Pool Party, White and Copper/Rose Gold. I LOVE these colours together!
I've cut out the flower from the DSP and coloured it with my Pool Party and Crumb Cake Blends. The intricate die cut is from the Petals & More thinlits, and the sentiment is from the co-ordinating Petal Palette stamp set. I've embossed it in Copper, and popped some Copper thread behind.

Beautiful Peacock Stamp-a-Stack

How pretty are these colours together - Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Lemon Lime Twist. I think they work really well for these pretty peacocks. I love all those swirls! I've also used lots of layers for the main image, and also for the sentiments. The Dynamic Impressions embossing folders really make the backgrounds 'pop'.
