You might recognise this card. It's a slightly different take on this card from my Launch Party. It's amazing how changing the colour scheme and ribbon can completely change the look and feel of a card. Night of Navy and Whisper White is such a classic combination!

CCMC500 Springtime Foils in Pool Party

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com ...but it's not just any challenge, it's actually their 500th Challenge! Pretty amazing, huh? Read on for how you can join in and WIN!
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

I've been going a little crazy using the Springtime Foils Designer Series Paper...just as well it is free! I stamped the sentiment on this card, but everything else is patterned paper, cardstock and Foil sheets. My colour scheme is Pool Party, White and Copper/Rose Gold. I LOVE these colours together!
I've cut out the flower from the DSP and coloured it with my Pool Party and Crumb Cake Blends. The intricate die cut is from the Petals & More thinlits, and the sentiment is from the co-ordinating Petal Palette stamp set. I've embossed it in Copper, and popped some Copper thread behind.

Beautiful Peacock Stamp-a-Stack

How pretty are these colours together - Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Lemon Lime Twist. I think they work really well for these pretty peacocks. I love all those swirls! I've also used lots of layers for the main image, and also for the sentiments. The Dynamic Impressions embossing folders really make the backgrounds 'pop'.

Happy Wishes Stamp-a-Stack

It's Stamp-a-Stack week this week, and this is one of the sets of cards we are making. The star of the show is the Happy Wishes stamp set (available FREE during Sale-a-Bration!). It's a fabulous set that covers a TON of different occasions, depending on which words you choose. They fit beautifully inside the Layering Ovals.
I have partnered it with Petal Passion Designer Series Paper and Silver Baker's Twine. It's difficult to tell from the photo, but I have added some depth to the base cards by 'swiping' with Versamark, and there is also some sparkle on the large words, thanks to Dazzling Diamonds glitter.
My colour scheme is Black, White and Berry Burst/Island Indigo.

CCMC499 Eclectic Expressions

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

It's been fun having a bunch of new Sale-a-Bration products to play with and this is my first play with the Eclectic Expressions stamp set. I was a little short on time this week, so I have completely CaSEd the front of the new brochure. Apart from changing the colours to fit in with our challenge, I pretty much followed the card exactly. However, rather than lining up rows of circles, I've gone a bit more random and collage-y with the other stamps in the set. I used the sequin embossing folder on the vellum circle, Pool Party twine and some iridescent sequins to finish it off. I've layered my white piece on Flirty Flamingo and then onto a Sweet Sugarplum card base

Springtime Foils with Blends

How stunning is this new Sale-a-Bration paper? It's called Springtime Foils and it is part of the 2nd Release Offering. I've used the rose gold spots and the floral piece for this card. The only stamped part is the sentiment! I've cut out the flower and coloured it using my Blends. Isn't the stained glass effect so pretty? I've tied a bow with the copper trim to add a pretty accent to finish off the card.

Brusho Butterfly

This is the second card we made in this weeks Brusho Technique Class. I've used a mixture of blue and yellow Brusho powders on this card. I love the green-y tones it produces! I did lots of spritzing so that the colours blended into eachother. Both die-cuts on this card are part of the Petals and More thinlits dies.

TIP: I used my Night of Navy Blends to colour my Organza ribbon, and then the heat tool to crinkle it up.
