Merry Christmas Traditions

The Traditions of Christmas Suite has been so popular! It has even sold out a couple of times since it was released in the Mini Catalogue. I love the combination of traditional Real Red and Old Olive, along with elegant Night of Navy and a splash of Pool Party. 

For this card, I went with a layered design, using 2 complementary pieces of the Traditions of Christmas DSP. I always choose one patterned piece, and one that is plainer, so it doesn't look too busy. Have a look at the Traditional Labels Bundle if you want some very versatile sentiments in a gorgeous font, along with beautiful labels to stamp them on. I'll be using these well beyond Christmas!

For embellishment on this card, I used other items from the Traditions of Christmas Suite - some Real Red Shiny Ribbon, Traditional Sparkling Sequins and I also snipped out a poinsettia from the DSP.

My Card-in-a-Box

I hope you've enjoyed seeing all the Shoebox Cards that we made at Stamp Camp. They are a staple at my Craft Retreat. I have 10 volunteers each make a card-in-a-box, where all the ingredients for making a card are included in each box, including pre-cut cardstock. It's great to be able to sit down and make 10 cards without having to think/plan/design. 

This card was designed by.... me! We used the Gallery Blooms dies to cut some frame pieces from a piece of the Thoughtful Journey 6"x6" DSP. Then we mounted each frame on a slightly larger matte of cardstock. The measurements for the cardstock are 8.5 x 4.2cm, 11 x 6.7cm and 13.5 x 9.2cm. This design would work with any DSP. I think I made just about everybody at Stamp Camp want to buy the Gallery Blooms dies!

Deb's Card-in-a-Box

I realised that I haven't shared the Shoebox Cards that we made at Stamp Camp back in August, so I'll be posting them over the next couple of weeks. They are a staple at my Craft Retreat. I have 10 volunteers each make a card-in-a-box, where all the ingredients for making a card are included in each box, including pre-cut cardstock. It's great to be able to sit down and make 10 cards without having to think/plan/design. 

This card-in-a-box was designed by my lovely friend Deb. Her card was actually much more amazing than this. Mine is very much a simplified version (I must have been in a simple mood lol). I'm just loving Cloud Cover at the moment!

This beautiful card was designed by my lovely friend Tamara. We chose an image from the Turtle Y Cute Designer Series Paper to cut out. The hardest part was choosing which one! I went with Banjo Turtle. I love how chilled out he looks!

Robyn's Card-in-a-Box

I realised that I haven't shared the Shoebox Cards that we made at Stamp Camp back in August, so I'll be posting them over the next couple of weeks. They are a staple at my Craft Retreat. I have 10 volunteers each make a card-in-a-box, where all the ingredients for making a card are included in each box, including pre-cut cardstock. It's great to be able to sit down and make 10 cards without having to think/plan/design. 

This beautiful card was designed by my lovely friend Robyn. She took inspiration from a sheet of wrapping paper for this card. It's amazing how inspiration can come from everywhere. I love this colour combination - Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Smoky Slate, Basic Black and Basic White. We decorated circles using stamps in White and Black ink, as well as embossing folders and fine-tip gel pens. Super simple, but so effective!

I love the quilted look she created by layering the paper and then embossing it. Now I want to try it with all my other Designer Series Paper. I think it would look great as a Christmas design!
