Scenic Coast For You

On my first flip through the latest Catalogue, I was struck by the designs on pages 26-27, made using the Scenic Coast Suite Collection. I couldn't wait to make my own versions.

The Designer Series Paper is so stunning, I struggled to cut it up and then struggled again to stick anything on top of it ...but I managed! The paper features vivid colours and layered textures, and has coastal sunsets on one side and versatile patterns on the other. Some sheets feature iridescent details that shift colour as you move them. 

I wanted a deep blue colour to show off this paper, so I took some Blueberry Bushel cardstock and swiped it with Blueberry Bushel ink to deepen the tone. How striking does it look? I finished it off with dies from the Sunset Coast Die set, and also the Words & Wishes Dies for the sentiment. I finished off with some Sunset Sparkle Sequins (love these!).

Artisan Sketched Card Set

Here is my set of cards, made using the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper. I enjoyed colouring these black and white designs using Blends in soft pastels  - Fresh Freesia, Pool Party and Pretty in Pink - but stronger, brighter colours would work equally well. Perhaps I'll try those next time!

Artisan Sketched Thank You

At our most recent Demonstrator Event, we had several make-and-take projects to create. At the event I was too busy chatting to make mine, so I took the supplies home to make instead. For this one, instead of colouring the actual flowers in the Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper, I coloured the background. I used Blends in 3 colours - Fresh Freesia, Crisp Cantelope and Pretty in Pink - to create an ombre effect. If you enjoy colouring, you'll love this paper...and if you don't, go with a monochromatic look!

The Artisan Sketched Garden Designer Series Paper has 2 sheets of beautiful vases and flowers. If you enjoy colouring, you'll love this paper...I coloured every single vase in the pack, cut them all out and made a big batch of birthday cards. The black and white designs on the reverse side are perfect for backgrounds too.

I chose soft pastels for this card - Fresh Freesia, Pool Party and Pretty in Pink - but I also used some bright reds, oranges and yellows for my other ones, just to mix it up!
