Delicate Dahlia

My Stamp Camp weekend should have been on last weekend. Due to the current lockdowns here in NSW, we were unable to go ahead in person, so we got together online instead, via Facebook Groups and zoom sessions. It was definitely not the same, but a whole lot better than nothing!

This was my task last week, mailing these goody bags out to all the participants:

Inside the bags were the gifts, prizes, Challenge packs and ShoeBox swaps that they would have received at Stamp Camp.

I made all the ShoeBox swaps over the weekend, as we chatted and laughed. The designs and all the pieces for making them were kindly supplied by some lovely ladies. I'll be showing my take on their designs on here over the next couple of weeks. The card above was supplied by Cathy Humphries. I just love the soft colour palette - Gray Granite, Petal Pink and Early Espresso. And doesn't the Dahlia stamp so beautifully...the 3D 'distINKtive' effect is just gorgeous!

You can see everything I've used listed below.
Thanks for stopping by!

What is a Shoebox Swap, I hear you ask? All the ingredients for making a card are included in each box, including pre-cut cardstock. It's great to be able to sit down and make 10 cards without having to think/plan/design.

One little Pin

I love happy mail, especially of the Stampin' Up! kind. I reached my 15-year Stampaversary back in May and recently this beautiful box turned up in my mailbox.

Inside is my 15-year pin:

It's a definite "Sliding Doors" moment when I think about what my life would look like if I hadn't joined Stampin' Up! 15 years ago. I am so grateful that I did! Some of my closest friends, I met through Stampin' Up! and I can't imagine not having them in my life. Those relationships are so special to me, and my life would be so much poorer without them.

So, this little pin means a lot!

Summer Shadows

This is one of those cards that didn't quite come out how it looked in my head...oh well, that happens sometimes! You can see all the products I used listed below. Some are from the Annual Catalogue, some from the Mini and some from the Sale-a-Bration brochure. I love having three places to source great products from!! You can see them all listed below (click on the images for more detail).

Cool Friends

I've been using these Picture This Dies a lot! They work with all sorts of stamp sets - flowers, cute animals, patterns or words. I like that all the framework is done, and I just have to "fill in the gaps".

These guys are so cute, waving from their windows. I've snipped them all from the Penguin Playmates Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper. It was a really quick card to make!

Dazzling Beauty

I really love this pattern from the Blackberry Beauty Designer Series paper, so I've made it the hero of my card today. It already has gorgeous gold detailing on it, so I've echoed that with a small piece of Be Dazzling Specialty Paper (FREE Sale-a-Bration item!).

I've used another piece of the Blackberry Beauty paper in the background. I sponged it with some Soft Suede ink and then used the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder to give it some texture.

I love all the label shapes in the Seasonal Labels Dies. They have a pretty edging detail too. I used a smaller one for the sentiment (from the Nature's Harvest stamp set). I finished the card off with a Gray Granite twine bow.

Beautifully Penned in Pool Party

I love Black and White, with a pop of colour - in this case Pool Party. I took inspiration from a card in the Sale-a-Bration brochure on page 7, but changed quite a lot to make it my own, including flipping the orientation.

The only stamped element on this card is the greeting (from the new Heartfelt Wishes stamp set in the Mini Catalogue). The rest is from the Beautifully Penned Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Paper. I cut out the flowers and added a touch of colour with Blends.

I'm loving the Timeworn Type embossing folder. It's a lovely subtle background effect. I hope you like my card!

Dahlia Meadow

I like using the less-obvious stamps in a set. In this case, the other flowers in the Delicate Dahlias stamp set. I've CaSEd a card on page 15 of the Sale-a-Bration brochure, but changed the colours and some other elements. I wanted to incorporate the Harvest Meadow Designer Series Paper from the Mini Catalogue.

I went with an autumn-toned colour scheme - Cajun Craze, Bumblebee and Crumb Cake. You can see everything I've used listed below. Click on the images to see more detail.
