Whiskey Business by Julie

I have some Shoebox Swap cards to share with you over the next couple of weeks. These were all made by me, but none of them were designed by me. They were all designed by some lovely ladies in my team for our Stamp Camp weekend retreat. Some designs I changed very little and others I altered a bit (usually because I made a boo-boo that needed covering up!).

This first card is by Julie Chase. It's a great masculine design, using the Whiskey Business stamp set. Isn't Cinnamon Cider a great masculine colour? We coloured the whiskey using Blends. You can see the other supplies listed below.

CCMC627 Celebrate Sunflowers

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

I had fun playing with some stamps that I don't own on the weekend. I had my annual team Stamp Camp retreat, and while I bring along all my stamps so everyone can use them, I tend to wander around and borrow everyone else's! I've had my eye on this Celebrate Sunflowers set, and now that I've played with it, I really really have my eye on it!

These flowers stamp beautifully and really come to life when you add some colour. I used my Blends, in Mango Melody, Cinnamon Cider and Old Olive.

The paper in the background is from the Gilded Autumn pack in the Mini Catalogue. I used the Tasteful Textile embossing folder to give it some more texture. I also popped on a couple of Elegant Faceted Gems and a swirl of linen thread.

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

Zany Zebras Shoebox

This was the Shoebox Swap design that I decided to go with for Stamp Camp. I felt like it was a bit more fun than my other one

Let's face it, polka dots are always fun! This Zany Zebra certainly seems to like them, anyway.

You can see the products I've used to make this card listed below. Thanks for stopping by!

Forever Fern Shoebox

This is my other Shoebox Swap Design for Stamp Camp. For this one, I've used the Forever Fern stamp set, in Terracotta Tile and Coastal Cabana (with a splash of Sahara Sand). I think this card would work in lots of different colour combinations.

A few things take this card to the next level - After I stamped the images, I've given them the Subtle Embossing Folder treatment. Some Linen Thread and Elegant Faceted Gems finish this card off perfectly.

CCMC626 Jar of Flowers

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

I wasn't sure about how well these colours would work together when I first saw them, but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised! I've used the Jar of Flowers bundle to create this floral arrangement. I love how you can get so many different looks with this stamp set, depending on the flowers and colours you choose.

Here are some tips for making this card:
  • I used the Brick and Mortar Embossing Folder in the background.
  • The jar punch comes in very handy to cut out the jar
  • A piece of twine adds some texture - I wanted plain white so I pulled a strand from the twine in the Flowers for Every Season Combo Pack
  • The Stitched Nested Labels frame this jar of flowers perfectly.
  • White embossing pwder really makes the sentiment pop. It's from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set
  • I coloured this image using Blends
I hope you like my card! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page

Zany Zebras

I've been busy getting ready for my Annual Stamp Camp on the weekend. I've had all my fingers and toes crossed that we would still be able to go ahead, and thankfully we can. We are down in numbers and have social distancing and COVID-safe measures in place, but we can still craft all weekend and enjoy eachother's company.

It's a highlight of my year, and this year, more than ever, I think we all really need it.

Part of the fun is making Shoebox Swaps. What is a Shoebox Swap, I hear you ask? All the ingredients for making a card are included in each box, including pre-cut cardstock. It's great to be able to sit down and make 10 cards without having to think/plan/design.

This year I've contributed a couple of Shoebox Swap designs. This prototype didn't quite make the final cut. It was my first play with the super-cute Zany Zebras stamp set. I liked the design but decided to change up the colours...I'll show you the one I went with after Stamp Camp, along with all the other ShoeBox cards!

Life is Beautiful CaSE

I decided to CaSE the Mini Catalogue for my customer thank you cards this month. I just love the card on page 51, and I've changed very little - mainly just the sentiment. The colours are Pool Party, Pretty Peacock and Whisper White.

The Life is Beautiful stamp set is perfect for making simple, but elegant cards.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you're having a great weekend!
