CCMC602 Pleased as Punch

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

This was a 10 minute card for me, sandwiched in the time I had between  a lovely weekend away, and a busy week ahead! The only stamping is the sentiment (from So Sentimental in the Mini Catalogue). If you grab the bundle, you'll get the gorgeous co-ordinating dies too. I've used the stitched scallop rectangle on this card.

I punched the flowers from the Pleased as Punch Designer Series Paper. This paper has all sorts of patterns that work with our punches. The Small Bloom Punch is available as a free Sale-a-Bration item. The strips of paper are also from the Pleased as Punch Paper. The colours I've used are Blushing Bride, Coastal Cabana and Crushed Curry.

In the background, I've used Vellum for a soft and pretty look. Doesn't it come up beautifully when you run it through the die-cutting machine with the Tin Tile embossing folder? To adhere it to the card, I just used tiny dots of multipurpose glue on the whitest parts of the vellum.

I love using the From my Heart Faceted Gems for a bit of bling. I've popped small gems in the centre of all my flowers.

I hope you like my quick card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!
