2019 Classes Resume!

I'm so excited to get back into classes. It's been a long break! If you live in Sydney I'd love to see you. Beginners are more than welcome. Email me to book in.

FEBRUARY CLASSES

Stamp-a-Stack Class - Hello Cupcake and Classic Garage

Come along and stamp a stack of cards, so you'll always have a card ready when you need one. We'll be using products from the new Occasions Catalogue and the Sale-a-Bration Brochure.

This month's cards feature some Gingham Gala Cupcakes and the Classic Garage Suite. You'll receive a sampling of Papers and Ribbons - some to use on your cards, and some to take home.

This year we are 'stepping up' our cards - we will be featuring more DSP and embellishments, decorating the inside of our cards too, and of course stamping matching envelopes. Ribbons, embellishments and envelopes are included in your class fee. You'll make 8 cards for $25 (if you BYO Stampin' Up! adhesive and Dimensionals), or 8 cards for $30 (if you use my adhesive)

Tuesday 19th or Wednesday 20th February 7pm for a 7:30 start
Wednesday 20th February 9:30am for a 10am start

Just phone or email me to reserve your place. Places are limited to 8 people per class. All materials provided, unless stated otherwise. If the above times and dates don't suit you, feel free to get a group of friends together, and arrange an alternative time!

CCMC546 Classic Garage

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

It's been a while since I tackled a masculine card, and the Classic Garage Suite was calling my name (page 43 of the Occasions Catalogue). This card is almost entirely Designer Series Paper, apart from the stamped sentiment. The Classic Garage DSP is 6x6 size and features lots of tools, cars (and this cool motorbike!). Each sheet has a patterned side and a subtly textured side. I cut out the motorbike and I also used the Stitched Rectangles framelits to put it on. I popped the bike up on dimensionals.

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

Forever Lovely

We made this card at a recent Stampin' Up! training event. Aren't those flowers just so pretty and soft? It's a DisINKtive stamp set, so the flowers look almost 3-dimensional. The co-ordinating dies add a delicate touch to the card too. And I love the font, and the sentiment - "wishing you a lovely day" - perfect for any occasion!

You can see the products I used listed below. Thanks for stopping by!

Florentine Filigree

One of the first sets that caught my eye in the Occasions Catalogue is on page 40. It's called Florentine Filigree and is a great set for any occasion. You can use it with or without the die.

If the Florentine Filigree stamp set and die has caught your eye, you might like to check out this video for some tips and techniques:

CCMC545 Piece of Cake

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

These pretty colours can be found in the All my Love Designer Series Paper, so of course I had to use some of it on my card - that's the pretty floral background panels. The stamp set I've used is Piece of Cake. Make sure you get the punch with this one, so you don't have to cut out the cakes and stands! You can find the Bundle on page 18 of the Occasions Catalogue. At $54.75 for 21 stamps and a Builder Punch, it's a bargain!

I used a Blender Pen to colour my image, and the Stitched Rectangle framelits to cut it out (I may never be happy with a plain rectangle again).

To make the background, I lightly 'swiped' the Flirty Flamingo cardstock with a white inkpad and wiped off the excess with a tissue. I then stamped the Crackle Paint background over the top in Versamark ink. I love the effect! (you can find the stamp on page 44 of the Occasions Catalogue)

How pretty is that Flirty Flamingo ribbon? It's from the All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack. I tied it in a little bow and adhered it with a glue dot.

I hope you like my card! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page

Needle & Thread

This is one of the cards we made at a recent Stampin' Up! training event. We used the new Needlepoint Nook Suite. If you love the look of embroidery, you'll love these products. Even the stamps look stitched! I have to keep touching the paper to see that it's not actually embroidered.

And how pretty is that die? It makes a stitched impression on the cardstock. Gorgeous!
You can see all the products in the suite listed below. Click on the images to see more detail.

Needlepoint Nook

You can find the Needlepoint Nook Suite on page 38-39 of the Occasions Catalogue. If you love embroidery, then you'll love the look of these products. They are all designed to look hand-stitched, but it's much less time-consuming!
Check them out in the video:

CCMC544 Butterfly Gala

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

I think I'm a little bit in love with this card. Coastal Cabana, Black and White is one of my favourite colour schemes ever. The new Butterfly Gala Bundle is just to die for too. And that black and white gingham paper...I think I need a whole pack of just that sheet! It's a Sale-a-Bration design in the Botanical Butterfly pack. Thankfully the whole pack is pretty awesome - there's a black and white design on one side of every sheet.

This card came together really quickly, thanks to photopolymer stamps and a matching punch. Even the colouring was quick and easy with my Blends. I used Dark Pool Party and Light Bermuda Bay, since there's no Coastal Cabana. I'm so glad the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon is hanging around. That combination of sheer and sparkle is so pretty.  I added a bit more sparkle with the Rhinestone jewels.

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

Happiness Blooms Suite

Dave and I are back from our New Zealand cruise, ready to get stuck into the year!

Happiness Blooms is one of my new faves from the Occasions Catalogue. You can see it on pages 24-25. This card was a make-and-take at a recent Demonstrator Training event. I made a few changes though, just to make it my own. The colours I've used are Lovely Lipstick, Call me Clover and Night of Navy. The sentiment is from the new Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set on page 16.

You'll be seeing a lot more of this set from me! I hope you're having a lovely day.
