Country Home CaSE

I CaSEd this card from Pinterest while on a girls weekend away and now I can't find the original for the life of me! So, if this card looks familiar to you, can you please send me a link to the original so I can update this post.

I know I did make some changes to it, but I was mainly inspired by the stamped background....yes that is ONE stamp, stamped multiple times to make a background. The Country Home stamp set is photopolymer, so it wasn't too hard to do.

I coloured this gorgeous image with my Blends, and cut it out, so I could pop it up on dimensionals.
The sentiment is from Varied Vases.

Thanks for visiting. I hope you're having a great day!

CCMC541 Happy New Year

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

Since it's only a few days away, I decided to make a Happy New Year card for this week's challenge. I've used these colours to make a watercolour wash, and then used the 'sparkle' stamp from the Warm Hearted Hostess set to create a background pattern over the top.

I embossed my sentiment in silver and cut it out with an oval Stitched Shape framelit. I popped it up on a piece of Silver Glimmer Paper for a big splash of sparkle (what's a New Year celebration without some sparkle?). I also cut out a few extra 'sparkles' for embellishment, and added a few Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets.

I hope you like my card! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! I hope you are having a lovely day, wherever you are. Hopefully it is filled with love, family and friends.

This was the Christmas card I sent out this year. In the end, I didn't get to make or send as many as I would have liked...and some are going to arrive after Christmas. That has never happened before. We've had a LOT going on, and I've just had to be OK with doing all I could (not my strength and something I am working on. I have high expectations of myself and struggle when I don't meet them).

As you can see, I kept my card very simple. It was either that, or not make them at all! You can see all the supplies I used below. Thanks for stopping by!

Joyous Noel Wishes

I whipped up these cards as an example of some quick Christmas cards that are easy to mass-produce. The only slightly fiddly bit is heat-embossing the sentiment. The gorgeous Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper does a lot of the hard work. It has touches of copper that are just stunning.

Can you see the subtle flourish in the background? It's stamped in Versamark, so it doesn't clash with the patterned paper. The Sprig punch adds a quick, cost-effective embellishment (plus, it's flat for mailing).

Here it is in another colourway:

A Flourish for Christmas

Not many sleeps to go now! Just a quick one from me today, since I have SO much still to do. I'm just not sure where the days are going at the moment. There's definitely not enough hours in them, that's for sure!

I love these edged notecards and envelopes for quick and easy cards. For this one, I just added a piece of Merry Merlot cardstock (edges sponged with Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint). I stamped the gorgeous flourish in Merry Merlot ink and stamped the sentiment (also from the Flourish Filigree stamp set) on Whisper White cardstock, and punched it out. A gold banner behind the sentiment is the finishing touch.

Thanks for visiting....I'm off to tick a few more things off my to-do list!

Simple First Frost

I love using the Gold and Silver Foil-edged cards and envelopes to make simple card designs. That foil edge gives them a touch of elegance (but requires no extra effort!). In fact, I even used them to make my Christmas cards this year!

This card is VERY simple....almost a one-layer card. I decided to pop up one flower to add just a bit of interest. This is the First Frost set in the Holiday Catalogue. It's just so soft and pretty.
The colours I've used are Grapefruit Grove, Soft Sea Foam, Gray Granite and Mango Melody. The sentiment is from Southern Serenade.

Wishing You Well Stamp-a-Stack

I used the Wishing You Well stamp set for one of my last Stamp-a-Stack classes of the year. The colours I chose are Mossy Meadow, Fresh Fig and Blackberry Bliss - a very elegant combination. I also used a few different embossing folders and lots of Champagne Shimmer Paint.

Since this is such a versatile set, we made these cards for all occasions....even Christmas!
