CCMC535 Holly, Jolly and Bright

 

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

 

I must admit that my first thought when I put these colours together was "yuk". But, once I chose a stamp set and got stamping with them, my mind was changed. Now, I definitely think I'll be using this combo again. I pulled out one of my favourite Christmas stamp sets, Peaceful Noel, and stamped a pretty background design. I decided to stamp the sentiment on vellum, but layered some white cardstock behind it, so that it 'popped' more.

 

I used a piece of Festive Farmhouse DSP behind my main panel. The subtle stripe of the Mossy Meadow pattern doesn't detract too much from the other images.

 

I added a few Frosted Epoxy Droplets to bling it up a little bit. I like how well they co-ordinate with the soft look of the vellum.
