12 Cards of Christmas - Card 4

Another non-Christmas set, "Lovely as a Tree" has been used to make this card. River Rock, Bravo Burgundy and Always Artichoke give it a very Classic Christmas look.
I inked up the tree in Always Artichoke ink, and then used a Chocolate Chip marker to colour parts of the trunk. There's no need to wipe off any ink first, because the Chocolate Chip marker is so dark that it just covers over the green. This gives the tree a much more realistic look. I then stamped on Whisper White cardstock, and sponged the edges in River Rock ink, using a sponge dauber. It gives the tree a soft, glowing appearance.
I stamped the swirl from 'Priceless' in Versamark ink on the top half of the card, and highlighted the dots with my white gel pen. The Always Artichoke has been stamped in 'Linen' background stamp in Versamark ink. It gives the cardstock a lovely textured appearance. I also sponged the edges with Always Artichoke ink.
I stamped 'Season's Greetings' in Bravo Burgundy. Check out the "Many Merry Messages" set on page 111 of the catalogue if you are after some Christmas greetings that you will be able to use year after year. There are 8 stamps in the set that you will use time and time again.
The ribbon is Bravo Burgundy Wide grosgrain. I finished off by adding some glitter to the tree (hard to tell in the pic, but it's all sparkly in real life)
Stamps: Lovely as a Tree, Priceless, Linen background, Many Merry Messages
Ink: Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke, River Rock, Versamark
Cardstock: River Rock, Bravo Burgundy, Always Artichoke, Whisper White
Other: White gel pen, Bravo Burgundy Wide Grosgrain ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, 2-way glue pen, sponge daubers, Chocolate Chip marker

  2. Sometimes I think Lovely As A Tree should be a Christmas set because I am sure I use that stamp more than any other out of the set! Another lovely card too :-)
