Poppies by Elizabeth

I have another Shoebox Swap card to share with you today. This card was made by me, but not designed by me. All of the Shoebox cards were designed by some lovely ladies in my team for our Stamp Camp weekend retreat. Some designs I changed very little and others I altered a bit (usually because I made a boo-boo that needed covering up!).

This card is by Elizabeth Yager.  I made several mistakes in the making of this one...my first attempt at lining up the 3 punched failed dismally, and even my second attempt was not perfect, so I moved all 3 poppies slightly to the left to disguise the mistake. There's no mistakes in stamping, right?! You can see the supplies we used listed below.

What is a Shoebox Swap, I hear you ask? All the ingredients for making a card are included in each box, including pre-cut cardstock. It's great to be able to sit down and make 10 cards without having to think/plan/design.

CCMC629 Poinsettia Place

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

Sometimes Designer Series Paper is so pretty that you don't need to do much else. Poinsettia Place certainly fits that description. Here I've used 3 different patterns from the pack - 2 with subtle background designs and one feature piece.

All I've added is an embossed background (Parisian Flourish in Very Vanilla), and a beautiful sentiment from the Wrapped In Christmas stamp set. It's difficult to tell in the photo, but I also used  Shimmery Crystal Effects on the yellow parts to make them shiny and sparkly.

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

Under my Umbrella Shoebox

I have another Shoebox Card from Stamp Camp to show you today. This one was designed by one of my team members, Tamara. I did change this one a bit, just for fun - that's what I love about shoeboxes - you can put your own 'stamp' on them (so to speak!). I just love the bright and fresh colours she chose - Balmy Blue, Real Red and Old Olive.

CCMC628 Basket of Blooms

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com. This week is a colour challenge, and these are the colours we had to work with:

These colours are right up my alley! I decided to use the Basket of Blooms stamp set and matching Small Bloom punch for my card. I coloured the images with my Blends.

That gorgeous paper in the background is from the Magic in this Night DSP pack (in the Mini Catalogue). The sentiment is from the Little Treats stamp set and I also added some ribbon from the Playing with Patterns Combo Pack and a couple of Rhinestones.

I hope you like my card! Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page

The new Machine is Here!

It's here! If you've been admiring the brand new Cut & Emboss Machine and accessories in the Annual Catalogue, you can now get your hands on them.

I have mine already and not only does it look so pretty on my desk, it cuts dies so perfectly and easily! Just some of the features are:
  • The solid steel construction frame and rubber feet that securely grip the work surface produce crisp, clean, precise cutting and beautifully detailed embossing.
  • The machine and tools are designed for an intuitive die-cutting and embossing experience. For example, all plates are labelled with a number and are colour-coded for easy reference and use when building your sandwich. And just like the name suggests, our Magnetic Cutting Plates have fully-magnetic surfaces to make it easy to securely position your dies and keep them in place.
  • The platforms fold for space-saving storage and they look pretty too–the sleek, clean design suits any crafting space.
  • They are so portable - use the machine at home or on the go with their folding platforms and ergonomic carrying handles. So convenient for attending crafting get togethers.
Note: the Impression Mats and the Mini Machine and accessories are not yet available, but everything else is. Check them out HERE

Whiskey Business by Julie

I have some Shoebox Swap cards to share with you over the next couple of weeks. These were all made by me, but none of them were designed by me. They were all designed by some lovely ladies in my team for our Stamp Camp weekend retreat. Some designs I changed very little and others I altered a bit (usually because I made a boo-boo that needed covering up!).

This first card is by Julie Chase. It's a great masculine design, using the Whiskey Business stamp set. Isn't Cinnamon Cider a great masculine colour? We coloured the whiskey using Blends. You can see the other supplies listed below.

Thanks for stopping by!

CCMC627 Celebrate Sunflowers

It's Thursday, and that means it's Challenge time again over at www.createwithconnieandmary.com.
This week is a sketch challenge, and this is the sketch we had to work with:

I had fun playing with some stamps that I don't own on the weekend. I had my annual team Stamp Camp retreat, and while I bring along all my stamps so everyone can use them, I tend to wander around and borrow everyone else's! I've had my eye on this Celebrate Sunflowers set, and now that I've played with it, I really really have my eye on it!

These flowers stamp beautifully and really come to life when you add some colour. I used my Blends, in Mango Melody, Cinnamon Cider and Old Olive.

The paper in the background is from the Gilded Autumn pack in the Mini Catalogue. I used the Tasteful Textile embossing folder to give it some more texture. I also popped on a couple of Elegant Faceted Gems and a swirl of linen thread.

I hope you like my card. Check out what the other talented stampers have come up with HERE. Don't forget you can play along over on the facebook page!

Zany Zebras Shoebox

This was the Shoebox Swap design that I decided to go with for Stamp Camp. I felt like it was a bit more fun than my other one

Let's face it, polka dots are always fun! This Zany Zebra certainly seems to like them, anyway.

You can see the products I've used to make this card listed below. Thanks for stopping by!
