Sweet Sugarplum Dragonfly

I made this card for a couple of special birthdays last month. I had fun playing with lots of layers and textures on this one! Because there's lots going on, I kept the colour scheme very simple - just Sweet Sugarplum and Whisper White.
I layered a vellum die-cut dragonfly over a stamped dragonfly. I used Multipurpose glue to adhere my vellum. If you blot it with a sponge before sticking, your adhesive won't show.

Up & Away 8th Birthday

Playing with new products always helps to kick-start my stamping mojo. Unfortunately with Christmas, New Year and school holidays, I haven't been at my stamp desk nearly enough....I'm hoping to remedy that soon!
I made a couple of these cards, in 2 different colourways for my twin niece's 8th birthdays and they came together so quickly. There's a bit of die cutting, but very little stamping involved....it just looks like I have, thanks to that amazing new Designer Series Paper!
The large numbers dies are such a worthwhile investment. I pull mine out all the time for birthdays and anniversaries.

Carried Away with Chooks Sneak Peak

Happy New Year! In just a couple of days, the Occasions Catalogue will be LIVE and ready to order from and everybody's favourite promotion, Sale-a-Bration begins!
I've already had a chance to play with some of the lovely new goodies. Some of the first stamps that I inked up were these cute chickens. Don't you just love them? They have such personality!
I used the new Carried Away Designer Series Paper (another sneak peak) for my colour inspiration. I stamped my chooks in Stazon ink on Watercolour Paper and coloured them using ink from my inkpads.

Merry Christmas!

This was my Christmas card this year. I made and sent out 250 of these babies, so I needed to keep it pretty simple! Using paper that was already glimmer-y for the star and paper that was already embossed for the banner really helped to cut down my workload!

I went with Mint Macaron, Whisper White and gold for my colour scheme. It's all sparkly in real life, thanks to a spatter of gold Wink of Stella. To get this effect, squeeze the Wink of Stella pen until you can see the ink filling the barrel, and then use a bone folder to tap on the barrel. I laid out 8 cards at a time inside a box, and spattered them all at once!

I'm going to be cooking up a storm in the kitchen over the next few days, so I'll take this opportunity to say Merry Christmas! I hope you are spending it surrounded by family and friends
