Thoughtful Branches Christmas Class

It's Christmas Stamp-a-Stack Week this week! Thoughtful Branches lends itself beautifully to Christmas cards, so of course I HAD to use it this month. I've also used the Holly Jolly Greetings set for my sentiments and also for those cute hanging stars.
I've gone with a soft and pretty colour palette for these cards - Mint Macaron, Whisper White and Soft Suede. I like to sponge a little Soft Sky ink on the snow-covered ground to make it stand out a bit more.
A dash of sparkle and some raised embossing takes these cards to the next level.
I have a couple of spots free on Tuesday and Wednesday night. Let me know if you'd like to come along and make 10 Christmas cards!

Thoughtful Branches for you

I always like to have a few 'for you' cards in my stash. Then I can pull them out for whatever occasion I need and stamp a sentiment on the inside saying thanks, happy birthday, get well, etc. I love the font in the Thoughtful Branches set, and the stamps are a great size too...large enough to have some 'oomph' but not so large that they take over the card.
TIP: the Scallop Circle Die does a great job of holding the Baker's Twine in place!

This set is available for the month of August only, and only while stocks last. Read all about the Thoughtful Branches monthly Promotion HERE.

Thoughtful Branches Christmas

I've been seeing some lovely Christmas cards with the Thoughtful Branches set, and here is one of mine.
I love ovals on Christmas cards...they frame a pine tree so beautifully, especially when you add a delicate scalloped edge. I've used the gorgeous This Christmas Designer Series Paper, and I've been a bit tricky with my sentiment - the stamp has holly in the top right corner. I've inked up just the words using an Early Espresso marker, and then stamped the little bird from Thoughtful Branches there instead.
My trees sparkle in real life, thanks to Wink of Stella!

Thoughtful Branches Wedding

I hope you're not feeling totally overwhelmed by all the Thoughtful Branches creations that are floating around the Internet! Obviously, we are all loving playing with this set. There's so much you can do with it, and I have some more projects to inspire you this week.
I've used the Pop of Pink Designer Series Paper and the Thoughtful Branches set to make a wedding card. The black and white with a 'pop' of Melon Mambo is elegant, but still fun. I've also blinged it up with a bit of gold.

Marquee Messages Class

This is the other set of cards we are making in next week's class. The Marquee Messages stamp set is fantastic for those difficult masculine card designs. I've stepped out of my comfort zone and used some bright colours on these cards - Tangerine Tango, Bermuda Bay and Crushed Curry, balanced out with Sahara Sand and Basic Black.
There's a bit of fussy cutting on these cards, so I hope I don't get in too much trouble with my ladies at class next week! The cuts are all pretty straight and simple, so it's not at all difficult, and the effect is well worth it, don't you think? I hope they think so, anyway!

Thoughtful Branches Class

These are 4 of the cards we'll be making in my Stamp-a-Stack class next week. Dates are in the sidebar over there ----> if you're a Sydney-sider and would like to come along! We're using the gorgeous Thoughtful Branches stamp set and co-ordinating framelits.
Lots of white-on-white on these cards with just a splash of colour. The colours I've used are Delightful Dijon, Pear Pizzazz, Real Red and Sweet Sugarplum. The sentiments are stamped in Early Espresso (just a little less stark than black). Isn't the font just beautiful?
TIP: To get the stamped effect on the hydrangea, I cut out a plain white die and then stamped repeatedly all over it, both in full-strength ink and stamped-off. I did a similar thing with the tree, except I used the small tri-leaf stamp for that one.
