Inked Botanicals Birthday

 

And here is card number 3 of my Inked Botanicals cards, in honour of the last day of the 15% off DSP Sale month. That's right, today is the last day to take advantage of the 15% off, so grab your favourite papers while you can! The Sale ends on June 30.

If this card looks familiar to you, then your copy of the Catalogue is probably as dog-eared as mine! It's almost a direct copy of one of the cards on page 94.  I did choose a different pattern of DSP for my card. I wanted a slightly more masculine look, so I went with leaves rather than flowers. I love the sentiments in the Inked and Tiled stamp set. I chose Happy Birthday, and punched it out using the Inked & Tiled Punch Pack. I also used the punch to flag the ends of my spotty DSP and positioned it behind my sentiment. The beautiful Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon adds a final flourish, and some Iridescent Pastel Gems finish it off nicely.

Here is my second Inked Botanicals card, in honour of the last week of the 15% off DSP Sale month. There's only a few days left to take advantage of the 15% off, so grab your favourite papers while you can! The Sale ends on June 30.

The organic nature of this stamp set makes it really easy to work with. I just stamped my flowers and leaves in the same colour palette as the DSP. I used the Gorgeously Made dies to make a 'notebook' border at the top and a 'torn' edge at the base of my stamped piece. I stamped my sentiment in Calypso Coral and punched it out using the Double Oval Punch. In the background, I layered some pieces of DSP to complement the colours of my stamping.

I love the images in the Inked and Tiled stamp set, and the sentiments are a lovely font and size too. I think I'll be getting a lot use out of this set!

Inked Botanicals CaSE

I needed to whip up a few quick cards this week, for the last week of the 15% off DSP Sale month. This week I'm showcasing one of my favourite current Designer Series Papers - Inked Botanicals. There's only a few days left to take advantage of the 15% off, so grab your favourite papers while you can! The Sale ends on June 30.

The Inked Botanicals DSP comes in 6" x 6" size, so it's so easy to work with. It has a natural feel, as it was designed by pressing hand-inked flowers onto the paper, giving it a beautiful textured, artistic effect. The spectrum of colours, botanical designs, and patterns featured in this paper are great for any season and ideal for all-occasion projects to create year round.  Just pair with the greeting and embellishments of your choice to say hello, wish happy birthday, or send a thank you note in simplicity or finesse—the choice is yours! Product colours: Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Lost Lagoon, Petal Pink, Pool Party.

The Inked and Tiled Bundle was a must-have for me. I love the stamped images and I can see so much versatility with the punch. Here it is used to make a 'quilted' background and also to punch the ends of the sentiment piece. I think I'll be making more cards like this, using other Designer Series Papers. It's a great way to use up scraps too!

Zoo Crew Card Set

Here is the set of cards that I made using the Zoo Crew DSP, along with the Zany Zoo stamp set. In honour of the 15% off DSP Sale this month, I'll be showcasing Designer Series Paper on here all through June.

This was such a fun set of cards to make. This Designer Series Paper is so cute, and there are so many more fun animals that I want to put on cards. I think Karaoke Turtle is my favourite - how about you?

Zoo Crew Musicians

Here is my third Zoo Crew card. I think this one is my favourite! In honour of the 15% off DSP Sale this month, I'll be showcasing Designer Series Paper on here all through June. 

I just had to make a card with the singing turtle on it. He is just singing his heart out! I've given him some accompaniment, all cut from the Zoo Crew DSP. 

For this card, I was inspired by one of the cards on page 48. This was lots of fun to put together. I just cut out a Countryside Corners die-cut window from the black and white DSP, and then popped a Countryside Corners die-cut frame over the top. I placed my musicians inside the window, and stamped some music notes around them.
